Paris Hotels

Hello,

I have just booked a trip to Paris on Eurostar and am now in search of some accomodation. I have been looking for ages and haven't really got anywhere. Can anyone help?

We're going on 14th Dec for 3 nights and are a young-ish couple. We just want somewhere fairly simple to stay that's near the metro.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There are some ropey hotels-make sure you check it out on tripadviser whatever you do. Have a look at the Accor chain-very cheap-formula 1-porte du chatillon for example.£138 euros total for 3 nights.-about £108. There is a subway map on the accor site.

Have a look at laterooms.com. Some good deals, and usually lots of customer feedback.

You're right, it is such a minefield trying to find somewhere reasonable and decent. Wherever you go, though, one suggestion I would make is to ensure that you are handy for a metro station. Doesn't really matter which one, it's a very good transport system. You can buy a pack of ten tickets each at a reduced rate, and you can change trains as often as you need to on the same ticket, as long as you don't actually exit the station, so A to B is one ticket no matter where it is. One ticket each, that is, of course.

Right outside Abesses metro in Montmartre, just below the Sacr! Coeur
  • Hello,
Im going to Paris in December and booked my accomodation this week.

We booked with Alpharooms and looks great, 3* and right by the Eiffel Tower. All the others by the Eiffel tower were either rubbish or expensive but this one looks great.
Its called La Bourdonnais. I checked it out on Trip advisor and reviews were great.
We payed 240 for two people, 3 nights inc breakfast.

I know what you mean about a maze there are tons of them and we kept looking and looking and in the end the price just went up each day and we just got more confused and stressed. Think we made a good choice though:j

We stayed here http://www.hotel-paris-regenceetoile.com/index.html last week, and its a lovely clean, friendly hotel. Charles De Gaulle metro station is literally 100 yards up the road, as is the Arc De Triomphe, which can be seen from some rooms, and is stunning.

Lots of restaurants around the area, which is very safe, and everyone was super friendly.

We stayed here for a dirty weekend last year , Stunning location with another one of Paris's best Restraunts right next door (hotel restraunt is class also) not moneysaving (about £150 a night) but priceless

about 1 mile =15 mins stroll from Arc and beyond 20 metres from metro
