oh Feely I forgot to put in there, have you contacted the labour ward to see if you could go in for a private tour and let them know what and why you want to talk to them about. I take it your trying to find out if there is something thats not an opiate you could have? (I hope I've remembered that right)
Maybe you would be an ideal case for using hypnobirthing? do you know if your ok with having the entonox? - its all I had so hopefully you'll be lucky like me anyway

The do tours reguarly, I hadn't thought about phoning them directly. I've got a consultant appointment in a couple of weeks, so I'll ask him where I can find out. I was planning on just having gas an air, but if the SPD gets worse, that might be too painful I imagine? I might look into hypnobirthing, worth a try isn't it!

I have had some bad news today that a colleague who was recently given 18 months to live passed away last night, he was only 45. I was only saying to my husband last night that I should pop up and see him at some point, at least he was in my thoughts.

Cherish your loved ones girls and never put off til tomorrow making contact with those who you hold dear. :A

So sorry MFD to hear this news.

Your last paragraph is so true and we all need to remember it.

feely you also need to speak with physio and you m/w who will advise you on position that are better for labour with spd and also the maximum distance you should have between your knees! have you thought about a water birth??just the water will give relief and help pain! but phone hosp and ask for a visit!
What's for you won't go past you

Ah, a water birth is an idea. Pain is more manageable while I'm in the bath, so perhaps I should think about that. No one mentioned it yet. My uncomplicated birth plan seems to be going out of the window!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Was at MW on Tuesday and everything is going great (touch wood).:j

She thinks I might be a touch anaemic but probably manageable through diet. The bloods are due back within the week so I'll know so enough.

Bean's heartbeat was so much easier to find and much louder this time and I felt a bit guilty that Hubbles wasn't there to hear it as I'd persuaded him there wasn't anything due to happen that would warrant him missing an afternoon of work. I might suggest he comes to the next one which is just 3 weeks away.

We've got ante natal again this weekend which will be a tour of the maternity unit and then a talk through the labour process and pain reliefs available so its kind of the biggy I guess.

    Hope everyone is keeping well

I'm feeling crappy today... Going to moan so feel free to skip ahead...

I was bleeding again when I woke up this morning... Am resisting the urge to dash down the EPAU, it's no different from the other times I've bled and they said last time to expect more so I'm going to leave it until Tuesday when hopefully the midwife will find the heartbeat for the first time...

Plus I'm feeling all sickie again, I was really hoping it would of finished by now but today is a crappy day... Plus I told OH I wasn't planning on doing anything because of the bleeding and he made a joke of it being no different to normal so I spent half the morning crying because I feel like a crap wife and mother, not being able to do housework or cook the meals... Could barely read DDs bedtime story last night because I was expecting to have to rush off to the loo... And to top it off, I sat on the floor for an hour earlier sorting through some old paperwork and could barely move to get up!

On the plus side, a friend of mine from the maternity unit rang me to talk about my new job and she let me have a rant about the unhelpful consultant registrar I saw last week, felt a bit better after that...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

((big hugs)) Krystal....not too tight though as i don't want to cause you any pain :D

dont you just love men (or not)!!!! i am sure your hubby just made that comment in passing without even thinking of how it would have made you feel (mine is very fond of doing this). you are a brilliant wife and mother and you need to keep telling yourself that. i am not sure sometimes where men get their brains from becuase i am sure they all malfunction when it comes to being sensitive or noticing when their wife is upset about something.

    xxxx

Sounds like a good old blub is what you needed. You have already graduated to moan, which is well on the way to feeling better. ;):D

Sorry to hear about the bleeding, it must put worry in your mind but resting up is the best thing to do. As long as it doesn't get any worse then things should be fine.

Thanks guys. He didn't mean it in a bad way, it was just one of those throwaway joke comments, I think I was just a bit sensitive... He text me afterwards and said some lovely things and he wouldn't change anything... Which obviously made me cry a bit more...:o

A friend whose daughter goes to school with mine has offered to do the morning drop off everyday to save me [STRIKE]getting dressed before lunch[/STRIKE] rushing around... Just got to convince DD it's a good idea...
