I met my husband at uni, he was on my course. We got together in the first term of the first year and have been inseparable ever since!

I'm really sore from my gardening exploits yesterday but determined to get some BDing in! Hubby is difficult to convince in the hot weather, he just wants to sit around doing nothing but I'll do my best!

Has anyone used the Tescos Own OV Testing Kits. They had some in there and I was very tempted to buy some but we aren't starting that until next month!

    Are they good to use?

Ah Gymfriend, whilst I fully sympathis with you on this one it sure is nice to know I'm not alone! My worry is why the drugs keep becoming ineffective. If we got a BFP this month it would be such a relief to know I can forget about it for a few months at least! I'm seeing my endo tomorrow so will see what he says. I'm guessing he'll either say "the levels aren't that high still so carry on same dose but have more regular bloods to keep an eye out" or increase the doseage immediately or push me to go down the surgery route as he did when I was first diagnosed. I really really really don't want to go down that route. It terrifies me as it is just such an unknown! The amount of people that have had the surgery and ended up worse than they started is really scary. I think particually in light of the fact they can't tell how difficult it would be to remove the tumour without damaging the pituitary gland until they operate. I guess I will have to see what he says tomorrow. You're not on bromocriptine are you? The other concern with bromocriptine and I think it was cabergoline was the new research that when they've been used in parkinsons patients (the doses are massively higher) they have seen heart failure as a common side effect. So much so they've now stopped using the drugs for parkinsons. So my worry is how high does the doseage have to be before it could cause a problem.
Oh how I hope with all my heart we get a BFP this month and then it's all irrelevent! Hope you had a nice holiday and recover from the jetlag soon.

    Hi all,

I'm new to this forum although I have been reading all your posts for a little while now. Just starting to learn all the lingo and trying to get my head round all the technical stuff associated with TTC.

Bit about me... 24 years old, self employed music teacher. Married DH about 18 months ago.

I've been trying to talk DH into having a baby for a little while although it's only been the last couple of months when I've really believed we can do it. We are very organised people and we like to plan everything to the letter! Hubby had managed to get his head round the idea and we agreed that we would start trying towards the end of the year so that we could hopefully try and tie in a baby's arrival with the school holidays thus making my work situation easier to handle (Yes, I know this is insanely ridiculous!) So, that was the plan. Until this morning, when in a moment of madness (or should I say passion?) we just said stuff it, if we're not ready now we'll never be.

    Now for the technical questions.....
I've checked with a fertility chart and assuming I've remembered all my dates correctly my most fertile period ended yesterday. Would this morning's action still have a chance?

Also, when would be the soonest I could do a test? (Being that I'm incredibly inpatient!)

    Thanks!

Hi Musogirl, welcome to the fun world of the TTC thread! :hello:

How are you charting your cycle? If you are just using OV tests, then it might be slightly out on your fertile days anyway as it cannot tell you exactly when the egg was released (if at all) - but if you have been temperature charting, then you can tell when the egg is now on the way as your temp will have shot up. But I wouldn't overly worry about it - it only takes the once and if it was much of an exact science, none of us would have a problem picking the right time!

You are then on the 2WW (two week wait) which is traditionally the time between the end of your fertile period and AF arriving - but I usually wait until the day I am due on before testing. Again, it isn't set in stone - but you're unlikely to get a vibrant positive before then, but might get false negatives which can depress - hence the sensible part of me always waits! :o

Always handy to keep this page bookmarked for reference, if you haven't already:

Best of luck and enjoy trying!

Thanks for your support everybody - how on earth can I drag him to the doctors? He is a bit phobic at the best of times and he is even having trouble getting to work (which he normally loves) so I don't think this is a blip that can be solved quickly.

Trying to be positive still, but boy is it hard work to get any BDing in - I have never known him to turn it down before, so now am really convinced something is wrong! :D

Becs, I will cross everything for you that this becomes your month, x

Everyone else, I am still hoping you'll be leaving me soon!

Hi,Just a quick update from me as I keep pooping on and off the boards. Got to wait til next monday for a scan to see if the bleeding I've had is a miscarriage or not. Seems ages away but cos I had my BFP so soon best to wait til then otherwise I'd probably have to go back again to be sure. Just in a bit of a limbo situation. Probably know the result as my breasts are no longer tender like before.A faint hope remains but I think that makes it worse.winnie

I wrote a really long message and it got deleted :/

Dont know what CD im on i forgot lol. But AF stopped after 3 1/2 days :D

    Let the Bd'ing commence lol.

Had a good weekend, Friday went shopping and got some new books. Got a good one about money saving whilst pregnant and when you have your baby was in a 2 for £5 offer :D Shows you how to make a load of stuff instead of buying it, its very good :)

Saturday went to Nando's then to see star trek :D And i now fancy Spock lol.

Sunday went to watch OH play football whilst i read a book in the sun and then went to southsea and found a car boot sale where i got some banners that read 'bridal shower' for 60p. So im now having a bridal shower and if im pregnant at the time it will be a bridal and baby shower :D

Is everyone enjoying the sun? Its hot hot hot (to quote big cook little cook lol)
