Hi Ladies, my you have all been very chatty. As we are telling everyone how we met this is mine.

Hayley/Andy - Nursery nurse / Self employd builder

We met over 14 yrs ago . He was my brothers best friend and would often be round our house and out with my brother. One day he came round to go out clubbing and my brother was feeling a little poorly and I said I would go with him instead as I already obviously knew him as a friend with my brother.

We had a really great time and before you knew it we were dating and have been ever since. We will have been together 15 yrs this June. We also had alot of people frown on us at the beginning as he is older than me, But all those frowns disappeared as we reamained together and all those bad critics all broke up with partners and filed for divorce etc.

now we are TTC but this is proving a big obstacle in itself at the moment.

Well catch up with you soon

Good morning all - I did a double take checking in this morning and thought I had stepped in to the pregnancy thread, seeing how many news pages had appeared :rotfl:

So not much to report, I think those tablets delayed my OV this month as I'm now on CD15 and have at long last had a +ve OV test. Fingers crossed my cycle lasts longer than the 21 days I managed last month

I'm still so worried about OH and am going to try to drag him to the doctor this week. He just cannot be bothered with anything and seems so tearful, it goes from one extreme to the other! So TTC definitely on the back boiler for now

Fingers crossed for you all and I'll lurk for a while in hope x

Sorry Madmac... I don't need much encouragement to chat at all, it seems :)

Hope things get better with OH, I wonder what is up with him? A big shame TTC is on the back boiler too.. hopefully you can get back to it soon!

MadMac - sorry to hear about your OH. He is stressed at work or anything? I had to be signed off last February (08) with stress and slight depression! I had over a week and a bit off and felt so much better.

I'm on CD11 and have no idea when I am going to OV so we are still trying to do the every other day route at the minute. But we have decided that we will at least by OV tests next month.

We had a look round mothercare world yesterday I felt a bit bad about going in there like I'm tempting fate but it was nice to look at the bits in there and dream!

Ah MadMac sorry to hear your oh is not so good. Agree with B2B about it may be stress related? Hopefully you can get things sorted and get back to TTC soon.
B2B you're not alone in the sneaking in and dreaming! I found a legitimate reason for indulging shopping, I make "nappy cakes" so my spare room is full of baby clothes and nappies and toys! Dh said at leas if they didn't sell we would have plenty of bits! Luckily though they do sell well!

As much as you can, I'd say. We BD'd a lot whilst we were away on holiday and I think that was part of the reason. I think people can be a little too scientific about it.

As a friend of mine was told years ago when she was having problems conceiving (...and after she had been given the all clear that nothing was wrong with her) to go away and "do it like they do on the Discovery channel"!

I'm sure OH would love the idea of doing it like they do on the Discovery channel!!:rotfl:

I've realised that I am starting to get too "scientific" about it so for now I'm going to try and relax... easier said then done though:o

    Hello all :)

Just got back from holiday and have been dying to get on here and catch up, have only managed to get 4 pages back and jet lag is kicking in - wow, never know so much chat on here!!

Becs - sorry about your bloods :( Think I'm in the same boat, af is 4 days late, but getting bfn's, so think after they dropped my medication down it's messed it up, absolutely gutted as had convinced myself on holiday it might be the month but no, just have to wait it out til she arrives now! Amazing how a little tumour can cause so much havoc. Grr..

In keeping with everyone else, will tell you how I met oh :) I was in a long term relationship when I first met him at work (he was my boss), and knew from the minute I saw him that he was it for me. I couldn't bear to be around him and not with him so avoided him, but then bumped into him whilst out about 3 months after I'd started work with him. It was clear we were both besotted but nothing happened til another 3 months later, I'd broken up with my long term ex then a few weeks later bumped into oh again and that was that, 3 and a half years on we're engaged and have our home together :) He works for a big car company and I'm self employed and a jack of all trades...i.e. not yet found my niche!!

Hope everyone is well? Was hoping for some news of BFP's but haven't spotted any :/ Will try and read further back tomorrow!

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine :) xx
