I drive a 1987 VW Polo, my mate's sister's old car...cost me £46. First day - or near enough - I get the money back in an account I can get at it I'm going to get a proper car we can drive outside of the M25 without fear of bits dropping off. A Subaru Legacy i think
But yeah...it's interesting, I almost feel like buying a house...maybe next year for that0 -
With all the money problems of this week , I am going to have a rethink of what to do with some of my cash when i get it back from ICESAVE.
we came close to losing the lot.
Rather than having money just saved all the time, I am gonna spend a bit & buy myself a track car for using when i go to the nurburgring again & a Rolex watch. I have finally realised that there is more to life than just having money stacked in the bank for no reason.
Has anyone else had a rethink ?
Talk about Peas in a pod! I'm already eyeing up Westfields and Caterhams and Tag Heur has cught my eye.
See you at the ring soon maybe :beer:0 -
I'm going to put it straight into another ISA and savings account, but this time one that is fully guaranteed by the FSCS and none of this passport b/s. I'm thinking Alliance and Leicester esaver for the savings but not sure who to transfer the ISA to yet. There was a time on Tuesday when I wish I'd spent more money on pointless stuff but now things have settled down I'm back to my tightwad self.0

If I get my Icesave money back, I'm seriously thinking about a large donation to Naomi House, the charity that helps to provide respite care, terminal care and bereavement support for children and families from across the south of England. They took a bath in the Icesave sinking and as a non-private investor, currently look like losing all of their money.0

Yes you could buy gold coins, but gold teeth would be harder to steal unless you smile at a few chavs. LOL0
