With all the money problems of this week , I am going to have a rethink of what to do with some of my cash when i get it back from ICESAVE.
we came close to losing the lot.
Rather than having money just saved all the time, I am gonna spend a bit & buy myself a track car for using when i go to the nurburgring again & a Rolex watch. I have finally realised that there is more to life than just having money stacked in the bank for no reason.
Has anyone else had a rethink ?

Not going to stop saving but it's put me off internet accounts for a while!0

pay as much as possible (without incurring an erc) off the mortgage, and stash most of the rest in a bog standard account in C&G (with whom we have the mortgage).0

Moneywolf - Yeah it's funny the same things have occurred to me as well. Lots of stuff about my background as well and why I really save. Psychological things from this have been quite intense. But good I hope.0

yeh it's made me think too... what am I actually saving for? nothing I can think of, it's just the way I'm made. Wish I actually had a longing for something, so I could just got and get it, my tastes are so minimal0

I grew up in a hard working skint family with no money. I said I would never be like that, my position is the total opposite of how i grew up. But I think i have just been scared of not having money, but now i have realised how easy it is to lose the lot in one day.
Maybe its time for a rethink , thats all.
Maybe life is to short to worry about money all the time & if you have it maybe you should use it to make yourself a bit happier.0 -

I know that feeling. I almost want to go spend my money now just for the sake of it.You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0
