Somebody PLEASE ! Help me get the scanner working.

    I installed a 1200UB for a friend who ahd no drivers about 2 weeks ago.

    You did download all 5 files from http://www.mustek.com/download/driv_scanr/english/1200ub.html? and then run web.exe?

    What do you see or what happens when you open Word and Insert>Picture>From Scanner?

    yep. Done everything right.

    It used to work.
    I got the right drivers from mustek themselves.
    Click on the install Icon and I get error message.

    It says install drivers before plugging in leads.
    I have tried it the other way round and tried to get the computor to search the net for the right drivers....That failed too.

    I'm gonna bin it me thinks :think:
    I'll have a ritual torching of the scanner and post up the piccies.

    That'll teach it !

    Right Click on My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager and see if the scanner is showing up? If it is remove it.

    You may need to connect back up via USB.

    If you go back to post 5 nads...it'll save me writing it all out again :beer:

    I've done everything right...I think :think:
    When I click on the web.exe file it wont open I get an error message.

    I looked at my computor and there is no scanner showing.

    This has been my 4th download so far ! I downloaded again after removing the symantec files.

    Just tried that now..

    When you click on it to open it , it says :
    symevent does not exist on this computor.
