Phew! Just opened my 6.3% fixed rate in time then!
Not to bothered about the extra 0.25% the other one gives. I was getting 6.55% on my Kaupthing account and that didn't do much good!0 -
Hmm, wonder if my application last night for the fixed rate account went through? It said my application was accepted but it remains to be seen whether I get that product...0

I would have thought that you would have been accepted for the 6.3% fixed account - I got the accepted message and then the day after the new account appeared in my Egg Money Manager and I got the confirmation email. You might not get it until Monday if its done on working days0 -
yeh really on the ball, jeez!
Just opened a Bradford & Bingley esaver at 6.52%
That will do for a start0 -

I just applied for the 6.5% variable and the account appeared online immediately so it seems that they can be set up at any time for existing customers.

I didn't have much luck with my egg account. I wanted a joint a/c but I has to open my own first then they would sent me some papers and it would be turned into a joint a/c, strange way but that ok. The thing was that they were totally unable to do this, lots of calls to nice people who always called me by my first name but who were unable to do anything without having to call me back, which they mostly forgot to do. lost letters, more lost letter.
In the end I gave up. I filled in the questionnaire they sent me and I put a low score so they called me and were very nice again but all they wanted was for me to give them a higher score, but I said you haven't fixed my problem have you. I gave up and left them taking my money with me. Months of hassle for nothing. I thought egg was a good company or was I just a one off?0 -
just opened an alliance & leicester esaver account, going through Cashbackkings, gaining another £20.0
