i am asked a year on year if i wanted a £250 overdraft facility, i didnt want one. speaking as some one who once was in debt i learned a lot , i dont like any form of debt and yes i know i dont have to use it but as soon as you do its debt , i only have mortgage debt and that was taken out last year for £193k so i dont think id have a problem asking for and over draft facility for a few hundred quid.0

Not a great believer in promoting other forums, but CAG has NW details you can refer to.
Use the email/snail mail addresses provided to for claiming back charges and outline whats happened. This geezer has been so overloaded with claims he'll ok your charges to be refunded straightaway.
If he doesn't, then NW have had serious changes in the past year. I don't exploit my bank, far from it - but they HAVE exploited me and my debt situation has increased tenfold because of them. This is the rants board and my problems aren't open for discussion, so I'm just saying that if you word your complaint correctly he WILL see that you've been wronged.
NW used to be extremely considerate. I don't know what has happened in the past ten years or so, but they aren't any longer - I'm sure the cus serv reps have been given short shrift w/regards to how they deal with frustrated charges customers?
I'd write to the bloke I've mentioned, explain logically whats happened and just say that you're asking for leniency given the normally correct state of your bank account. No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670 -
Incidentally, a free! £50 buffer zone is offered or used to be with many current accounts. This safeguarded against unexpected over the limit transactions and was a great source of relief for me on a few occasions. If you have that facility - use it. Just forget its there and don't account for it.No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670

More than 1 person has offered a solution which you have no interest in.... surely if we help then there will be no need to vent. But if you come back to vent again when you get another charge... well....THE_LONE_RANGER wrote: »ok but im venting on a venting board and if you dont like people venting dont come to the board.Kavanne
