Thanks for that. Thought I'd try a quick Google for "ISA Promise" and discovered this:

Good to see it in writing at last!
Agree, good find that Stompa - have a thank you.0 -
Are there any decent 1-year fixed rates left? Only one I can find is BM at 4.5% (actually... has BM at 4.5% gone now? I can only see 4% on their site).
I have my money in a fixed Egg saver (5.04% net) and am tempted to just keep it there... but what's the likelihood of there being any decent fixed rates left around Feb/March?0 -
Decent rates? Well, there's National Counties BS 4.6% fixed for 3 years or 4.3% fixed for 1 year. Cheshire BS 4.5% fixed for 1 year. Halifax 4.00% fixed for 1 year.0

Sorry, I misunderstood Thomas Crown's post. I thought he was asking for a better fixed than his Egg Saver. My apologies.~cottager0

Like many older people we rely on monthly income to supplement our pensions. Being Icesave Cash Isa customers we are looking for a home for our FSCS money, and wish to keep the tax free status and a monthly income.
Having searched the net the best we deal can find is with Standard Life, whose rate will be dropping shortly, but still will be the highest to meet our criteria.
Has anyone come across a good fixed rate Cash ISA that would give us a monthly income into our main bank account - we live in Scotland which may make a difference.?0 -
