Baby seat/chair for my 9 month old daughter?

What about a playpen , with a comfy beanbag/cushio/duvet in? My dd is 11 months and does not keep still for a second unless she is asleep. I have put lots of balls in her playpen and I can leave her safely in there (even just to go to the loo!). I can't think of a babyproduct that is the next stage from a bouncychair.0

How about one of those things which looks like a baby walker but doesnt have wheels? I don't know what age they go up to but they look good.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0

I have a Leapfrog 'Learn and Groove' Activity Station for my nearly 9 month old Daughter, to be honest she doesn't like it that much though  I put her in it when I am trying to get a few jobs done such as hoovering up. I'm sure it says not suitable for babies who can walk though (prob. incase they climb out).
They are quite expensive though (approx £70-£80). I got mine from e-bay a few years ago for my son.

My daughter is nine months old too (she was also born on Christmas day  )
and i am having the same problem; she can escape from her bumbo and her infant to toddler rocker and we've just had to upgrade her highchair because she was starting to stand up in the first one. I'm thinking of investing in a pushchair for indoor use only because it's the only thing I can think of that she can't escape from.
Can i just ask, does your baby start to crawl away during nappy changes? It has got to the stage now where i have to change her while she is standing up!
Ooh another Christmas Day baby! :T
Yes,We are constantly chasing her around now. All good fun even though it is alot more difficult to do nappy changes!
The only problem we have is that we don't have a great deal of room in our lounge for a highchair or pushchair to be in there too. We have a lovely corner sofa but that takes up so much of the room that you really can't have a playpen or anything else big in there. That's why we wanted something not to big. A bean bag would probably be ok though.
Thanks everyone! Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
OP, I think this would suit your requirements:

I have one for my DD (1) and it is brilliant. It has a stand that flips forward so the seat tips right back when the little one wants to sleep.
Plus, as it says in the title - it does right through till they are toddlers, so it's really good value for money.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. even with a harness ?!
why would you want her unable to "escape" whilst indoors ?!
a play pen / travel cot is far safer,kinder0 -
Ikea do fab bean bag type armchairs, both of my DC have had these and loved them.
I agree she's too old to be strapped in now.0 -

Hiya x my friend bought one of these and really regretted it - CLICK. Her little boy can just launch himself out of it.
I am also struggling to find a comfy chair for my LO. We are currently using this and its been great CLICK but not really comfy enough for sleeping now she is bigger.
I will watch this thread for any other suggestions.

Arms! I've had 3 children, never seen a need for such a thing. Had a bumbo in the bathroom to put them in when I was washing my hair but that's the only time it was used. Waste of money really.
My babies ahve been chilling out nursing at that age, cuddling, eating in the highchair, crawling or in a sling. I don't think any would ever have been happy in a baby seat or anything. Cuddles or exploring!0
