One way is to have something personalised a gift that suits for an individual, so I thought i would ask MoneySavers for their suggestions. Obviously as these need to be made up, speed is of the essence.
Let me start it off
There are a number of companies which allow you to give personalised books where the character names (and sometimes illustrations are customised to characters you know.
Here are some of the companies

My paper came today, it was very good, albeit the cardboard envelope is a little useless, it would be far better in a tube type affair. I have emailed the company to say this, so if anyone else feels the same, perhaps they could email too. I made the mistake of thinking the single sheet would wrap around the tabloid, but a bit of tape made it look like the real thing. Good recommend though. Thanks.0

Hi,
I've used the following website:-
http://www.storybookstars.co.uk
They offer wonderful personalised storybooks for Children, no matter how unusual the name. Great quick service and all for £10.95. They also do personalised CD Rom storybooks for children aged 3 - 9 for £9.95. The Cd's can be personalised by Storybook Stars or you can buy a version that lets you personalise the story when it is first loaded on to the PC. £8.95. The Cd's have animated pages and also contain games, colouring book and three reading levels. A unique gift and at a very reasonable price.
I will certainly use them again. :j0 -
Hi,
I've just received a wonderful personalised book to give as a christening gift for my godchild. The service was fast, within 5 days!
They've got a good range of books and also do personalised CD's which would be suitable for ages 3+.
Their website was easy to navigate around and they accept creditcards instead of that pesky paypal system.

I've used this site to buy some wedding gifts recently, so much cheaper than going down to timpsons and engraving stuff for a quid a letter.0
