Take it easy mrscmr, I think you deserve a break, it does get very tiring, I hate it when I have lots of parcels to wrap up although love the money part. Don't know how you manage to do as much when you have another job to do.

Hope everyone else has a good run up to Christmas.
Out of curiosity when do sales pick up after Christmas, any ideas????0 -

Have you all noticed this....
We’re pleased to announce that from this Wednesday 9th December until Sunday 24th January, private sellers who list item(s) in auction format with a starting price up to £4.99 in an eligible category using the auction format on eBay.co.uk, will not pay an insertion fee*.
Eligible categories include: a) Music; b) Books, Comics and Magazines; c) Video Games (not including items listed in the following Video Games sub-categories: Coin-Operated, Consoles & Systems and Vintage & Retro Gaming) and d) DVD, Film & TV.
Thought it would come in handy if your selling books.0 -
I spotted this purpleroses and got very excited and then remembered that most of my books cost £4.99 to post (it only applies to listings of up to £4.99) but will do nicely for some DVDs and CDs.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060

I have about 20 iyems finishing before sunday, and only have a few watchers and even less bidders. My npb went smoothly - I closed the case and had my fvf returned. Also noticed that they cant leave feedback :j - when did that happen?
But - I will put a large box at the edge of the hatch in the loft, and will start filling it for after Christmas....:rotfl:and will really go for it next year.
Mrs MCR - what is it like to not have so much stuff around you - is it liberating/sort of empty/wonderful - Im just wondering as I have really forgotten how to enjoy my house as it is in such a muddle all the time. When I do half the house, its great, but then the other half gets worse!0 -
Oh noooo I've had one of my items taken off ebay !!!!!
It was a framed picture of novelty notes, I checked to see if there were anymore listed before I put mine on! there was so I listed, I have 5 watchers, one bid then last night, it was taken off, it says that the bank of england have complained! I can understand that you can't sell counterfit goods, I stated that this was novelty notes & I never mentioned bank in my listing!!! I am slighty confused can anyone shed some light on this for me???
Many thanks

Strange, cant really offer any ideas.
A friend of mine reently listed a combined swingslid, climbing frame and stated that it wasnt a certain brand but another, so as not to seem as though they were misleading people and then had that taken off.
Didnt they give anymore info other than bank of England complaining?0 -

I can shed some light on that one - Ebay call it "keyword spamming". For example saying in the title something is "AS NEW" is midleading to people searching for new items. Saying a t-shirt is from "OASIS NOT WAREHOUSE" would be keyword spamming the word WAREHOUSE as if someone was searching for a warehouse t-shirt yours would come up too, although its not what they are looking for.
Does that make sense?
Its one of their policy violations. There is a list of them on the ebay site so the notes one might be breaking one of those too I expect. Other members can report your item and thats probably what happened in the climbing frame case as ebay don't normally pick them up themslevesNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
