Hi, I have just listed one so far.
Nixxx - I am listing children's clothes mainly Next, some of my old clothes, the dress I bought for my brothers wedding, lots of the Judy, Mandy and Bunty comic books from the 70s/80s have sold quite a few in the past but not for much. I also have listed baby slippers, I have some books listed but they are not selling. I have two cooking magazines (did have a few but sold most of them) one has a bid, was listing them at 99p as it was fee but started these ones at 1.25 just to get a bit more. I'm listing baby all in one coats, I've also got quite a few Ty beanies to get done. Am not making a fortune but every little bit helps.
I am going to close down my Business account and unregister as Self Employed as all my stock is nearly gone and I'm just not selling any of the 15 things I have listed, I ended a few yesterday and will use them myself for my kids. I will save £9-11 a month on NI contributions but I just don't have time to do it seriously with 3 children aged 5, 4 and 1.
I am looking forward to having it all under one Ebay ID so that I can see exactly how much I am making once fees have come out.
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? We have the whole house to sort out (hopefully will find lots more stuff for Ebay) OH is going to ask his mum if she wants to come over tomorrow and watch the kids while we tidy/clean up and then on Sunday we might go to Bognor Regis for the day as we like to look around Ford Sunday Market.
We are hopefully going to put the kids beds back as bunkbeds and put the baby's cot in their room.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

listed 11 new ones, relisted 24 unsold, have sold £28.00 worth this week - not much eh! but hey ho!
Need to take more pics for my next batch of listings.
Any one give me any advice on listing magazines? what sort of price should i put them on at? which ones are good sellers?
thanks in advance
have a good friday and weekend all!
x
I've sold a lot of magazines and find they go well if you put a realistic postage cost on them. They tend not to sell if you go silly. A magazine under 250g costs 76p 2nd class, over 250g £1.04.
Craft ones (not card making though for some reason) especially knitting go well. Sci fi , history and science publications as long as they are current. I usually start at 99p plus say 90p postage and sometimes they go at 99p but sometimes they willr eally fly, especially some of the latest knitting ones.
With a cover price for a specialist magazine sometimes at £4.99 I think buyers are happy to pay £3 or so including postage and have the latest edition delivered straight to them.
I'm currently listing china, my least favourite thing to sell. It's been sitting in storage for a few years ever since a relative died and I don't really think it is worth anything but I am loath to charity shop it without at least trying it on ebay once.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I try most things on ebay before I dump them. I even sold some odd tools that I found in my dad's house, I had no idea what they were so I listed them with a photo and description. Some really nice people sent me questions explaining what the tools were and what they did, so I added all those to the listing and sold the lot.
I've never been particularly successful with older mags, although I know some people who assure me they have done very well. Worth a look through completed listings maybe?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My total for today are 6, hoping to find lots more tonight and tomorrow when we have a good sort out (depending on whether OH's mum comes round to help occupy the kids, he spoke to her earlier but not sure what the outcome was).
3 more listing days left so hopefully can get more done. Even if I don't sell many of the items at least I have the ready to relist.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Todays activity so far
sold 2
relisted 9
new listings 20
total active selling 77
a lot of the things Ive listed are all brand new in boxes, as I said yesterday been decorating for my MIL and persuaded her to have a good sort out, her house is like a treasure trove shes 82 and dont think she has ever parted with a thing, so went into one bedroom and you couldnt see the single bed for boxes of things that she had had for birthdays and Christmas's for the last few years that hadnt even been looked at. She told me we could have them all for car boots or to take to the tip. needless to say snapped her hand off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!110 -
