You could try one of the couriers - I use parcel2go which uses DHL and someone else. If you sign up throgh Quidco or TCB you get some cashback for that and up to 30kg, it costs less than a tenner.

Update. I have listed 24 books ready to upload tonight. I have so much stuff to ebay I feel like I am getting bogged down with everything & I give birth in 4 weeks...... Oh dear I really need to shift some stuff.......

    Ginga

Ooh how exciting Ginga! Don't overdo things.

Right I have 15 hours paid work to fit in before the end of the and 1000 of items to sell (prefererably before the end of the week). Wonder which one I am going to achieve? :rotfl:

do you have a phone which can take photos? I use my digital camera but it has a rechargable battery which is rubbish so runs out of life after 15mins so I only use this for taking pics of the details on the clothing, like beading/embroiddry or print. I then switch to my iphone and take photos using that. I have a cable for my phone which I can then transfer the photos onto my laptop. It works quite well, and I would use my phone all the time but it doesnt have a zoom or a flash

Unfortunately I removed all the phone software from my laptop on Sunday as my memory was low so that would take ages too. Going to pop out in a minute and get some expensive batteries as at least they might work. I hate non rechargable cameras

Ladies.... well i have been out almost all day - you have all been busy....

@Floxxie - 3.45am wake up is not good -but the bright side is its summer and [im a frequent worry wart so often up at 3am] the sun rise is rather lovely! my son thankfully has grown out of the earlies!

@vicster - yes i have NO BIDS either on my 86 items! what is going on.
@Stolli - sorry to hear about the loss making... sometimes i wonder if i get the postage right and i havent yet done a detailed analysis of profit as it takes too long.
@crystalblu - i tend to list all my childrens toys/decent clothes/shoes and generally stuff that is unused - i have not yet looked into the charity shop/bootsales thingy - good luck with selling!
@gingababe. - impressive with only 4 weeks to go - will you be in labour just checking your bids whilst giving birth! i think i would!
@jesarose - i use my sons camera as it has a handy rechargable battery a big square one! but sometimes i forget and get annoyed as i cant photo !

if i have left anyone out... sorry! keep going ladies.... i looked about the house today and found some gems!!

mrscmr you are an inspiration! :T

My son is 15 now but I've still got loads of his toy cars which are in great condition. Do you think they would sell and if so would you put them on individually or as a job lot? Also as they would be very heavy would you do pick up only? I recently took a mini scalextrix to the tip as I didn't think it would sell

Part of me doesn't want to part with them because it's a reminder of his younger years but on the other hand they are just in a box gathering dust.... decisions decisions...

    Any help appreciated :)

stolli.... selll selll selll.. i would say if there are any things that have sentimental value then keep them... if not then sell. well i might regret my words one day but right now i need the cash! i usually put cars in their set or series, like i put noddy cars together, cars movie cars together, etc. or you could try a mixed lot - collection only?

thanks for saying im an inspiration... im not --- this thread is and thanks to floxxie for starting ! this is what made me start ebaying!

I'm with mrscmr here - I am selling everything I can and sod the sentimentality! Have just got two boxes of their christening gifts. Will convert to cash and pop onto debt (but make a note of how much I owe them).

Some one wrote that if it isn't used in 6 months or doesn't pay rent, then get rid of. Always makes me chuckle that one but it's advice that I am trying to follow.

I'm envious of the time when people had so little money that they had very few possessions; how nice that would be now. I hope that one day we shall be in that position (odd though that may sound)

Have got a couple of hours of TV watching which will allow me some peace and quiet to list..the problem is is that I miss most of the programme :rotfl:
