eBay/ebid 10 a day challenge - any joiners?

I've just realised that I read this thread every day when I pop on but I have never posted on it.
I'm ebaying like mad (or trying to) at the mo to pay off a loan that I don't want hanging around for any longer than possible.
Most of my stuff is starting at 99p and most is only selling for that, but I am looking at it on the side of 99p is 99p more than I had to start with.
I'm also finding that nearing the end of the month I am getting more sales which is nice after a couple of weeks of one item out of ten selling etc.
So hope you don't mind but I'm jumping into the thread head first.0 -
welcome yukkibear.
i have to agree with you about the end of month sales, i definately seen more sales at that time.
I still have not recieved half my payments and no response from people either, i think that is so rude:mad:
When i buy something off ebay, i pay the day the auction ends or the next day, i have never left it longer that that and if i didn't have the money i would at least have the decency to email the seller.
people are unbelieveable!!0 -
Any room for a little one?!
I've been ebaying myself silly the past few months and all the wrapping and posting is driving me (and probably the post office lady) mad! However I'm sticking at it and at the moment i've got 54 items listed!!
I'm having alot of problems with overseas buyers and people who win an item and then tell me they can only pay for the item on a certain date!
However the extra money is going into a seperate current account used for paying bills so that my wages which go into another stays there!

Afternoon everyone...
why is it that some people never leave feedback for an item they have bought?
it puzzles me.
hope ebaying is good for you all.

Afternoon all
Mrscmr: puzzles me too - but sometimes when eBay is concerned no news is good news!
I sold a jacket on March 30th and when I got home last Sarurday, the parcel had been sent back to me - it had never been picked up from the delivery office! Emailed the buyer via eBay and via their email and no response...mine was the last thing they bught on eBay - so it's all very odd.
Had a buyer buy a dress on Sunday, no payment yet but looked at the order details and recognised the address as belonging to a lady who used to operate under a different name who is infamous for taking aaaaaages to pay - I sold a dress to her under her old username in December. All her feedback says she took ages to pay again! Honestly, annoyed that I'll be waiting at least a week for payment - I sympathise with Ruby!
Anyway, checked her user ID on goofbay.co.uk - she has spent £60,000 in the last 30 days (!) on Topshop/Miss Selfridge/Pauls Boutique....hey big spender!!! She was doing this last time and her account got shut - I know she'll pay eventually but it's just odd - she's clearly not a DFW!
Hope everyone finds the motivation to carry on listing :j xxxx

Wow Floxxie, you're still going! So am I, but I'm still cheating by having someone else do the listing for me. Cleared out some drawers the other day though and picked up some odd bits of tat so I thought I'd hunt down this thread to try and motivate me to do something with it all. Managed the first part of that plan.0

That's a massive amount to spend so quickly. Good luck getting the money.
I am suffering from no feedback, and I do worry until I get positive feedback that this seller will be the one to ruin my 100% etc, but touch wood so far so good.
I usually leave a buyer 48 hours and then resend the invoice. This usually wakes them up.
I have 42 items on at the mo with lots more tat / treasure to list, but like everyone else the endless trips to the PO is doing my head in.
I think I must start stating in listings that I will post on certain days of the week instead of going almost daily, as I hate having items been paid for waiting to go.0 -

Hello PP, I'm on a roll...not a very fast one, but I keep on going and even if I had thoughts of giving up, there's too many people on here kicking me up the backside :rotfl:
Wish I could give up control to somebody else, though even by my standards you have a hell of a lot of stuff to get rid of!
Pleased this thread has motivated you. It keeps me going to, which reminds me I had better start on some descriptions now The Apprentice is over.
Catch up with you soon.

Thanks mrscmr and yukkibear, I've re-sent the invoice today, but I know that it'll involve opening a dispute on Sunday - can't believe someone can spend £60,000 - she must be stocking some kind of shop as she's bought around 950 items this month - or doing something to sell them on?!
I pity her postman.....
Rummaged around last night and found lots of books to sell - do you think I should list the books there or wait until a carboot arises?
Hope you managed to do some post-apprentice listing Floxxie - I got dragged into 'The Apprentice - You're fired' so it was not a good night for eBay listings......June NSD's - 5/25
