    Come on CL!

Have listed 6. Three others have sold. Am going to list lots of magazines now. Did spend part of the day sorting out clothes so will get some more of those on tomorrow.

Weather nice and bright and that makes me feel more awake and able to cope with eBay. Let's hope it continues.

Am enjoying seeing the money coming in and the clutter very, very gradually going.

    Keep on going everyone. :T

Definatly get them checked by a military auction specialist miss - if you cannot say exactly what the medal is you won't get the value. If you have names, regiment etc of the recepient that will increase the value too. A lot of auctioneers will give you a value from sending in photos by email

An antiques expert I deal with through work recommends http://bosleys.co.uk/ as the best military auctioneers in the country

Ooo, thank you for the advise. I think I'll try e-mailing with the photo and details I have. Would be interesting (lovely!) if they were worth a little bit!

ebay doing well - hope others doing well too...

so any further thoughts on me advertising cyprus holiday? what a bout selling a car on ebay??? i have one to sell.
    mrscmr

Hiya , I currently have my car on Ebay at the moment it has 5 days left to go ive had over 300 hits on it . Over 490 watchers and some bids. I have recieved a few questions with intrest on price .
I have it on Auction with a reserve price which hasnt been reached yet , i worked this out by watching similar models and regs spec etc for a couple of weeks and noting how much they sold for . So at the moment its doing okay and better than i expected with another 5 days left to go yet.
I found that taking plenty of good clear pictures help with bids i also have made my listing clear and everything relating to the car i know and precise and also. including : why i am selling it, how it has been well maintained and looked after, all service costs and repairs its ever had., any rust / scratchies etc pointed out.
I have tried my best to explain everything as i find the bidders will be well informed and not be dissapointed when they view the car.
I have stated cash on collection or maybe a small paypal payment if they wish as i found this will cover my listing fees.
I also have suggested they can come view the car if they contact me before the end of auction . Luckily for me it is currently at my friends garage so i do not have to worry about strangers visting my home !! so i would advise if you were to do this make sure you are not alone!!} - there is some weird people out ther unfortunately.
I also have stated that i have also advertised elsewhere so i am able to end my listing early if i wish.
It works out reasonably cheap to advertise on Ebay as auto trader and other sites charge higher fees.
I will let you know when the car sells how much the listing finally costs if you like to give you an idea?

well i had hoped for a better result by the end of today but.... i have 26 listed 10 will sell and bids add up to £122.
i have taken some photos today of more stuff including clothes.

can someone advise me on something? Is is acceptable to list something that has been worn once but has some beading missing? I have a beach cover up which has beading on it and is rather nice but i noticed when i was looking at it that there are about 20 beads missing. i dont have beads to replace it so should i not bother listing?
well once kids are back at school im going through the dark mystery cupboard in their bedroom and i know it contains all sorts of delights!!!

    have a good week

It should be ok mrscmr, solong as you write it in your listing.

i just recently sold a dress with 3 buttons missing, i explained it in the description,
it was a 99p listing and sold for 99p

i think the dress was worn about 3 times, ....hence... 3 buttons missing...afterthat i knew, it was to small for my fat a$$:rotfl:

mrscmr - should be fine so long as you highlight it in your listing.

I've just relisted 4 items... put new pics on two of them. I think I'm a bit put off listing because A. it takes so damn long and B. it feels like a waste of time when things don't sell.

Gonna see if I can make it to 15 listing tonight anyway, as I have been putting off for a while... hrm :S x

I haven't done too badly today. Sold 1 item and have listed another 4. I've got the day off work tomorrow so hopefully will be in the right frame of mind to list the pile of magazines I've got lurking.

Has anyone had any luck with music magpie? I've got quite a few CDs which I'll probably never listen to, so I just want to get rid of them and not clutter up my new house with them. They're mostly trashy pop albums from the 1990s/early 2000s so they're only selling for pennies on Amazon. I know Music Magpie only offer a pittance as well but the free postage is quite tempting.
