    Hey

Glad to see the listings coming on nicely and everyone getting sales. I only have that number of items listed as i just keep relisting the stuff if it doesn't sell. Its a combination of magazines, books, videos, toilettries and just junk in general. I listed another 8 books this afternoon bringing the total to 305!!!

I used to love listing on ebay and would spend hours at night doing it... now i really struggle to list new stuff and just keep hoping that my relisted stuff sells. Im in the process of a major clear out .... i should really just list the items i have in boxes for ebay but i keep clearing out more and more and filling more boxes with stuff i refuse to fling out as it might make me some money!!!

I've decided the next box of stuff i clear out im going to put the items onto turbo lister as im clearing them out and then i can take the photos and work out postage costs later.... at least i will have made a start..... will see if i actually do this

I once sold a load of wooden beads to a fashion house - they used them in some designs and a fashion show for John Galliano :) I was very pleased

Through work ebay I have sold a hat to the Selfridges London Window Dressing Department, that was pretty cool but I cannot remember the weirdest thing I have sold at the moment, will have a think about it

No ebay listings done for me today but will do double tomorrow

Welcome newbies and congrats Damita on your future wedding - not long now!

Despite being elsewhere i.e. working, I have sold 2 DVDs on Amazon and I had a really good plan whilst I was data inputting. I started listening to my CD collection which is to be sold. Aggghhh! bad idea as not only is my left earhole hurting from the headphone bit but I realised why I want to sell them. Isn't it funny how you can love a song/album and then years later have no idea why? :rotfl:

I have so much to sell that I don't know where to start anymore. I am entering the 'nervous breakdown eBay phase'. Help!!

And mrscmr agree that it doesn't help having the children at home. Unfortunately apart from one, mine all are so I haven't even got them going back to school to look forward to.

Ok, maybe if I get some sleep, things will look better later?

Well done everybody. Please give me a big kick up the backside to get me going again. Thank you.

hmmm well another day and another queue at the post office. i had 12 parcels to send.
managed to do a reasonably cheeap shop at morrisons.
realised have to pay for car which is due back from garage on fri
still i have some action on ebay with about 6 items with bids on and nothing now finishing for another 6 days so that gives post office time to calm down.
oh and very annoying a special delivery item has not arrived. tracked it and message says it is a a po box and awaiting collection. buyer says no po box, and no one has the parcel. emailed post office have to wait 5 days and tried to speak to human being .. .no hope. no digital sig either... so im bit stuck and disappointed for the buyer.
    have great week everyone

  • Floxxie: Not the nervous eBay breakdown phase...nooo - that's the worst. Deep breaths, and maybe sell in categories, I find that helps.
If I have clothes to sell I list those in batches, starting and finishing at the same time, as if you do them inbatches of sizes or by season then potential buyers are more likely to look at your other listings and be interested in something else too - just something that works for me as then I end up with people buyinmg multiple items which saves on huge amounts of parcels....

Mrscmr: hope your item find it's way to the buyer, at least it's special delivery so you won't be bottom of the queue when it comes to a refund - but it's still so irritating. They have to get someone to sign it, so where could it have gone to? Hope the situation gets resolved!

I've got 12 items currentl;y listed and with 7 days to go loads of them already have bids - and 34(!) people are watching an abercrombie and fitch cardigan....hope that goes well!
    June NSD's - 5/25 :(

    Card 2: £1200, now £0
    Card 3: £250, now £0

That's a great idea crumpetmonster. I had started sorting things into piles and then more piles and even more piles and then they just turned into an enormous pile with no sense to it.

Will start on magazines as they are the easiest ones and won't list anything else until they are done....

hey floxxie... sounds like u might have um piles?
good news on the parcel issue. parcel did not make its destination, its in ireland in a sort of no mans land of parcels. but now thanks to nice girl on phone she will get it sent back to me. no one has a clue why it did not get delivered but great that the item still exists out there somewhere.
i have sorted some clothes out to try the market so to speak and will take pics. seems to me that designer type things go well. i have an escada jacket which i might test on ebay. i have some really good next 'going out tops' with full on sparkles - obviously we dont go out anymore. but i hardly wore them. do people feel ok about wearing other peoples clothes? omg i sound like a freak! i have 26 listed - 8 will sell!
    hugs to you all

Some people are very funny about second hand clothes but there are millions out there who don't care. Me personally, if its second hand there is less chance of someone else wearing it at the same time, its more unique, therefore I love it more.

I'm not into designer but there is a great market for it for those who do like it.

My efforts must be doubled now - just booked my wedding reception today so I now need LOADS of money for house, wedding and anything else...

4 listings a day to be done now :)
