Does anybody want to know anything about Boots?

  • Robb, I just purchased an Acoustic Solutions DAB Portal 2 Radio from Boots.com as it was 1/2 price. 2 days later the FM tuner no longer works (not the main reason for buying it, but not the point really).

They're now showing as SOLD OUT and after phoning customer services I've been told they won't be getting any more and it's not an in-store item.

Can you suggest if there's any more that I can do apart from return it for a refund please?

    Thanks, Chocs.

This is a bit of a bad one! The only thing that they can really do is offer you a refund because there are no more in stock and they are treating it as old stock. However I am sure they would be happy to let you exachange it for another item, of equal or lesser value (and give you the difference). Whilst I appreciate its not your fault that the FM Tuner is not working, they can't give you a higher priced item to compensate.

A refund/exchange only looks like the amicably realistic solution.

    Sorry
    Robb

    Hi Robb
Sorry to repeat an earlier question but what is Boots' policy about refunds/exchanges without a receipt if the item is obviously unused and Boots own brand so obviously not bought elsewhere?? I dont mind gift vouchers/card but dont want to have to buy something else there and then :o

I've just sent a returns query online to boots, My Kenwood Eon Kettle I bought week before last has a handle that is coming away from the kettle body at the bottom.

I don't want to just send it back for an exchange as I will be without a kettle for an age. Do you think they will help me out and perhaps send one and then me send it back.

Also is there a telephone number to call them? As I cannot find one on ther site.

    Thanks

Right, Boots.com should let you take it to a store and get an exchange as I have had to do this before for other customers. I know that it would be a mission to get to your nearest store that sells electricals but at least you won't be without a kettle.

The number for customer service for Boots is:
    08450 70 80 90

    Opening hours:
08:30 to 19:00 Monday to Friday
08:45 to 17:00 Saturday and Sunday
    Bank holidays 10:00 to 16:00

    Or Head office on:
    +44 (0)115 9506111

    Thanks

Boots will only honour a refund if the item has got a receipt, after all you could have just picked it up off the shelf and asked for money back on the item (I'm not saying you have he he) so that is why we cant. We can't even give a refund as a girft card the item has got to be like for like. So say you bought and item from the boots 'Time Delay' range an exchange could only be made for another product of equal or higher value (you pay the differnce) in that range.

    Hope this helps

    Hi all,

I am new to both this website and boots advantages. I've noticed a couple of members mentioning a parenting club. As i am expecting my first baby in July (!) I would be interested if someone could tell me what this is, how to join and benefits.

    Thanks in advance.
