Don't know if this has been mentioned already but M&S has a range of 50p plain mugs in - three different ones painted cream, light blue and burgundy red (the retro colours that seem to be around this Christmas).

These would be ideal for an xmas eve hamper

This is a new idea to me but I'm doing it for my baby grandson (well, 18 months old)
    I'm putting together
Reindeer food - oats (or something similar) with glitter
Snowman soup (basically hot chocolate drink in a snowman mug) to leave out for santa
Mince pies (couple wrapped on a christmas patterned plate)
Christmas flannel and towel - if I can't get nice patterned one I'll stitch a santas head on each )
Buy his usual bath stuff but put Santa stickers on all of it so its a bit special
Door hanger that says 'Santa Please Stop Here'
Christmassy bath toy (if I can find one !)
PJ's (unless his mum already bought them)
Message to santa -freebie print out one

Think thats it. I've done a letter from Santa -wrote that myself to make it more personal and couldn't find any pre-printed ones where I could put his age in.

Like the idea of the story book personalised ........might do that......or just print out short Christmas Story for him................still thinking about that one.

If you go to Northpole.com there is a page where you add childs details and Santa sends them a personilised letter. My 2 granchildren have just recieved a birthday letter from him after registering last year.

hels - super hamper -your son will love it:T

sue - I tried the north pole one last year but didn't get any reply - don't know why - so at the last minute I did one myself on computer with pictures added, made it a bit personal for him and did the same this year.
