Courgette, you hit the nail on the head, reducing our outgoings and increasing our income.

Found loads of fruit foraging today, and had a lovely day in the sunshine. About to go out to neighbours for the football, and OH is cooking a curry later yum!

On Sunday and Monday I still have a few bits and bobs to get done, in order of importance!
    - about 3 hours business work
    - weed allotment DONE
-make blackbeery cordial, blackberry and elderberry jam, elderberry chutney, damson jam (need to buy vingear and sugar) DONE
    -sell clothes on ebay

Thinking of how to save money in winter, need to make sure house is snuggly mse style and try not put heating on again until we really need to, as we did last year! I quite like getting snuggled up under blankets on the sofa!!

Ill also keep the allotment going with spinach and winter density lettuce, sprouts etc. and I'm going to research cheaper cuts of meat that I can slow cook etc.

Need to remember next week with all the hullabaloo of going back to work, call back doctors ? get policy documents of life insurance and check its the bext deal, and check our electricty is the best deal when it comes out of cap in october.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Spent some money today, so unlike me! but was looking in TKs for some christmas presents and I found a really big 100% wool blanket reduced from £70 to £17. It is lovely, and replaces an old bobbly fleece. Its so nice it can even be left out as a throw instead of hastily hid behind the sofa!

Feeling very autumny, snuggled up under the blanket, I've really sorted the allotment today, got more lettuce beet and cauliflower planted out.

I couldn't be bothered to make four different types of jam and chutney, so I just threw all the forraged fruit in together for Jam (3 jars), and got some green tomatos and forraged apples for chutney (4 jars). Something about Chutney and blankets, makes you feel autumnn is here!

Tommorrow I'm going to do my small business work (priority 1 :( ) and spend some time with OH :)

Didn't quite get the day with OH he was working all day, and I just wasted the day waiting for him really! I know I shouldn't let it annoy me as he is working really hard on the business for us, and is really busy, I just wish he would tell me so that I can make other plans!!

Still managed to tie him down to going away next wekend and actually booked a b&B for the night, so there will be no computer for him to sit at! B&B cost £60, the cheapest i could get in the area we want to go, but I did my research and it seems to have got great reviews. I will pack two picnics and we can treat ourselves to a pub meal when we are there!yey!

Back to school today, I cycled, and got a bit wet and muddy, but quite enjoyed it really! Cycling again tomorrow and hopefully Friday.

School itself was ok, just trying to get myself as organised as possible, and to automate as many tasks as I can so that my work life is easy, and I can therefore devote more time to promoting the business, tutoring and saving money by cooking, working allotment etc. Its all linked - if I spent too long at work I'd never make an OP!

Got some small business work to do tonight, and a freecyle collection to make. Then a bubble bath should wash off all of this mud :) !

Was that under the new blanket? ;)

Good to hear that the business is holding up and your progress is staggering on the OP, well done! Nice to see that with all the saving you are sensibly also having some enjoyment so I hope the weekend weather is good for you and the B&B lives up to expectations. Have you checked the pubs in the area online for reviews of their food - it can make a major difference if you don't know them.

Enjoy the return to school and best wishes on the balancing act with your commitments!

Thanks for the words of encouragement Stuart!

I am really enjoying being back at work, I love the children, and I just feel really useful and happy! Probably rose tinted specs at the start of term, but we'll see!

Was going to bike tomorrow but I can't find a missing part for someting I collected of freecycle so will probably have to go back tomorrow in the car.

I have had lots of NSDs and have completed a tutoring tonight, so things are going well!

    Tomorrow I need to
    - do small business work (priority 1)
    - go to allotment and maintain (depending on weather maybe cut grass!)
    -clean house boo!

Then I can pack for my night away with oh!

Taking it easy this morning, supposed to be goin off for a night away, but OH is still working, and I'm not going to let it bother me!

It will be nice when we do finally get away- I don't care about the weather!

Got my freecycle part yesterday, and used having the car to go to the shops, got a pair of leather boots with comfy soles for £20, bargain, as I can wear them all autumn and winter to work and with jeans etc, so should be very cheap per wear!

Right off to do a few jobs and chill out before kidnapping OH!

    Have a great Weekend xxx

Had a lovely weekend away and am still enjoying work - thats a whole week I've loved!

Got another tutoring client - it should gradually start building up towards Christmas now, all extra money going into OP.

I've been totally rubbish biking to school, only done it twice
