Thanks! I just can't believe how bad things are going!
On top of my dental disaster finally got OH to hospital about his arm and they have admitted him with a nasty broken arm(he has been walking around screaming for 4 weeks!) and will operate tomorrow.
So obviously I am worried about him being in pain, and he does need to get it sorted. But do I sound heartless :silenced: when I say I am not looking forward to the extra work on the business - things I haven't done before, and all the stuff around the house on my own?
Have also got my credit card bill for december and it wasn't as low as I'd mentally worked it out as...:o
SGMC you are right current account will absorb it, we won't go in the red, its just going to be a struggle for the op this month. I have to save £500 as its a regular saver, so the OP will have to be reduced.
So to find some positives! I hate being so negative all the time!
OH will hopefully get full movement back to his arm.:T
If I keep on top of things around the house it won't be too bad.
Its good to learn new things and be flexible with the business.
Atleast I am not working in the supermarket as well!:T
Its nearly the weekend - does this count on Wednesday?
I have seven years no claims so I should get a cheap car ins deal.
Even though I've got a full timetable tomorrow with some undesirable classes:rolleyes: , I'm going to do my best not to get stressed out at all. I've got two tutorings after school (which is good for the OP pot!) and after a quick visit to hospital I can relax!
Hope everyone else is having a better January than me!!! (and its only the 6th!)15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Yeeeggghhh, that sucks EG!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Having once been immobile for 6 weeks when I injured my foot I know it is totally frustrating for everyone. Good Luck with the op.0 -
Will you yell at me if I shake my head at your OH earthgirl? Silly man to refuse to go to the hospital for 4 weeks!
Least he will get it fixed now and surely when he's feeling a little better he can help out one handed?
Hope today has been kind to you and ((hugs)) to make you feel better.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Oh poor OH - I bet he now wishes he'd gone sooner. I think you suspected he'd broken it all along, didn't you?
Sounds like you're doing well on the cooking front - good idea batch cooking to give yourself home made "ready meals" for busy days - you're more likely to stick with it by doing that as well as you can avoid that thing of getting home shattered after a busy day, deciding you can't face cooking and getting a takeaway, then beating yourself up about it.....
Sounds like you enjoyed Paris as much as we did last year when we went - I'd love to go back - hopefully we might next year. It's a wonderful place. We kept our fod costs down a bit by finding markets and buying bread/cheese etc from those for lunches, if you poke around a bit there are cafes doing good deals on steak frites / moules frites type dinners too. Might come in handy if you go again!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks for all of the good wishes!
OHs op seems to have gone ok. Hopefully he'll stay there another day and recouperate, but knowing him he'll try to get home today. Infact knowing him, he'll try to drive back from the hospital!
How does everyone feel about lending money to colleagues with money problems? In education our jobs should be ok, but one girl who I like, although I don;t know that well, her partner was made redundant with no notice or anything. I've told her about stat notice and to go to citizens advice etc, and lent her £40 for the weekend.
I feel a bit strange about it, don't know why. I know its the right thing - I can't leave her with no petrol and food for the weekend, but I don't want it to be a regular thing. I suppose another time, if she's in trouble again, I can just lend her a fiver and say I haven't got any money myself.
That £40 was going to be part of my (small) overpayment this month. Nevermind, whats more important - me overpaying or her being able to eat and get to work.
In an emergency, £40 could easily last me 2 weeks for petrol and food, maybe even 3, but others may find it harder to live like this!
Anyway, I'm just going to write that £40 off, and if I get it back great.
So today I'm going to do a bit of banking, a bit of planning and teaching and then head home to work on small business/help or visit OH.
I will have a NSD
I will eat fruit not chocolate
I will go swimming
I will work on business
Early night from me I'm shattered must be getting old, will have to change my name to eartholdbiddy!

Personally I think that is really kind. You are an angel
I'd like to think I would have done the same. I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I'd be really grateful to someone who helped her like that;).
