How satisfied are you with your current bank?

I am also very happy customer of Nationwide. WhySoHar why do you ask this question? Did many people have a problem with their cards? I never did, even when I recently got married and needed a new one.Are you one of the 0.004% of Flex Account customers who's actually got a Debit Card?
I joined Nationwide at the time when they were giving £100 for joining for the monies. Never looked back since. I travel a lot so the fact that they give you good exchange rate and no charges for foreign withdrawalls is great.
I have to say that except for one occasion I never needed to go to branch though. And I know there are very long queus. I even send them email from my account when I have any questions.0 -
Only on phone transfers at the moment the last time I checked. If their 'Faster Payments' performance is as good as their Cash ISA transfer performance (I am still waiting, since early March), I wouldn't expect too much.
Having been a relatively satisfied customer of LTSB for well over 22 years, I am in the process of moving from them to HSBC and have complained about their abysmal service, as far as my ISA transfer is concerned, to the Financial Services Ombudsman Sevice.
Are you sure about 'Kicking LTSB Into Touch'??
They are generally a good bank as you say.Thomson 757 Man0 -
I'm reasonably (!) happy with LLoydsTSB; we've been with them for nigh on 28 years. BUT wish they'd give us a decent interest rate on savings...
We also have accounts with Abbey, over 30 years, but I believe their service standard has dropped markedly since Santander. I've had 2 complaints this past 12 months, one satisfactorily dealt with, plus compensation, another more or less ignored - despite it being a similar issue to the earlier complaint!
It is an insult to be informed by 4 different call centre operators that they are not qualified to answer my call, just because I use a textphone - I expect that if a firm advertises a textphone number on my bank statement that they are trained to do so.....0 -
A and L are not the best in my opinion.
Nationwide are ok, BUT where I live, the branch closes at 12 midday on Sat and is always far too busy (I work in city in the week and there are no branches nearby).
Halifax, (in my humble opinion), are excellent. I have never had any problems and they even cancelled two sets of bank charges for me last month!!!
For me, the main reason I use halifax is because there is a branch where I work and also where I live, which opens till 3 on Saturday afternoon...0 -
Absolutely positive after their ineptitude and the multiple contradictory and non-factual excuses which they have proffered for failing to transfer my ISA correctly in March (and for the following seven months to date).BYALPHAINDIA wrote: »Are you sure about 'Kicking LTSB Into Touch'??

The branch staff are generally excellent but the hierarchy is, in my experience, absolutely useless.0 -
