Tesco Alert!!!!!!!!!!

My goodness poor old sandybrag has really got her knickers in a twist from what I’ve read on the MSE site! This is my first time on the site and to be honest who cares about two or three Tesco orphans!
SHE mentions some nebulous people who have been banned from shopping at Tesco in outer Mongolia (let them come forward and tell it how it is!) and now wants to set up a national save the orphans day for them! Boy these people must have very bad people to get banned! At my local (Southampton) Tesco you could run starkers around the store with a big hat with a feather in it and nobody would pay you any attention!
Personally most of shopping is done at Asda which is far superior in choice (and cheaper) and have very similar benefits without the hassle of being accosted by a big hairy supervisor (and that’s only the women supervisors!)
While you state that shopping is a basically a female preserve you can’t tar all men with the same brush and say they couldn’t care a less. My husband does most of the shopping as I work nights and as far as confrontation is concerned is a big girl’s blouse!
Most of my fellow lady shoppers at Asda have taken Genghis Khan as role model and should only be approached with a long stick and preferable backed up by the SAS!
Sandybrag, great real” The way I read MSE is to save members money! If shopping at Tesco is giving you sleepless nights come to Asda (Wal-Mart, make Tesco look like a corner shop) and tell all those thousands of people who are banned from Tesco to form a line behind me at Asda!
PS. I wonder if Tesco have a dedicated to team to monitor MSE? Te-he0 -

OK, but not everyone has an Asda near them - or in the same city even.0 -
mark_steps wrote:You are very lucky then because in my store, we have been told we are not to take any other store coupons unless its a TESCO coupon. It must also have a barcode, so none of this 40p off without a barcode to scan.
Not sure if its just a regional thing...
That's odd as on the railings outside my tesco are HUGE banners stating that tesco takes sainsburys money off vouchers!! I saw it as I drove past it was that big!0 -
tesco also take sainsbury vouchers now at all stores no questions asked lol:j Smoke me a kipper: I'll be back for breakfast! :j0

Riyaad, unfortunately not everyone's store is as enlightened as your Tesco's. But its always worth trying....There is no need to run outside

does anyone know if tesco accepts coop or iceland vouchers?0

Tesco will only accept coupons for items they stock. Different policies are implemented at different stores...even within one store depending on the checkout person! In my experience they sometimes accept other stores' coupons if they are barcoded and scan. The current Iceland money off coupons don't have barcodes and won't be accepted I guess.if i had known then what i know now0

When i used to work in tesco i was till trained, we were told that we could accept vouchers for other stores. This was the branch at Gallows Corner, Romford.

Some people seem worried how tesco would get the £5 back if using a £5 sommerfield voucher there, the answer is that they wouldnt.
Thats because if you used a £5 sommerfield voucher at sommerfield then sommerfield wouldnt get the fiver back either.
There is no magic place that will give any supermarket £5 for a worthless scrap of paper.
Asda at Leeds killingbeck takes sommerfield vouchers and also printed internet vouchers without question.
BestymanOn the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0
