Hello folks
Baby news later...
My gran had alzheimers and she'd do the funniest things. She borrowed my cousin's pram and would spend hours pushing it around the house and talking to a 1.5KG bag of flour she'd put in there! Her husband died when he was 40, some 40-45 years before she did and she'd kept his wedding suit. But she stuffed it with old knickers and jumpers and sat it in a chair, put his old panama hat on the head and would talk to it as though it was grandad.
there's a care home in Harrogate that has just won some awards for caring for Alzheimers patients and they have curios like a war-time wedding dress, a cradle, pram and cot as well as an old fashioned sewing machine that the residents spend time stroking and reminising. There was even a picture of a wash-board and mangle.

I'd much prefer baby news to contemplating getting daft in my old age

But for chocolate good news, I borrowed 50p out of the petty cash (I'm in charge of the pc, and borrowing for chocolate is permitted) and the machine dispensed TWO Snickers bars :j :j0 -
