beats me how an honourable, honest and open woman can become so devious and spiteful! She's becoming just like Catherine Tate's nan :rotfl:

When I take her out I have to ensure that she cannot be heard being rude about people. She'll say sweetly her please and thank-yous and as she turns away she'll say "did you see the *rse on that? she should be charged double on the bus. And her skin! I've seem smoother rockeries" :rotfl: :o

And the other day I ran into a shop for her and as I came out I could see her going through my paperwork in the car :rotfl: she'd never have been so nosy years ago, but now she thinks we're plotting against her.

My mum has it, and did you know that it tends to run in families?

I've warned Popeye that I'll end up like my Mum.

Sadly she has lost the ability to follow a recipe, and her cooking has been such a large part of her life. We've had some "interesting" meals recently :o
And nowadays she always thinks the solution is to add a little more salt or sugar, or both.

I think they're making real strides in solutions for various Dementias. I'm hopeful when I get there I'll be better prepared than my Mum, who is distressed/shocked/tearful every single time she spots the word Altzheimers on anything and realises that she has it.......

I didn't mean to patronise you about knowing that it is familial :o (re-reading my post :o )

MY gran has been like this for years..and she doesn't have an excuse, even at 92 she is bad. Last time i took her for a drink in a garden centre, i spotted an old friend whose wife is in a wheel chair. I was about to shout over and say hi, when she piped up at the top of her voice.."If i ever get like that..shoot me, fancy taking poor cripples out in public" I very nearly obliged her..it was so embarrassing, but she never bothers..never has and although she has become a little forgetful she is so sharp we can never pull the wool over her eyes. :o
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
