Not much cooking for me this week
Friday - My grans house
Saturday and Sunday - My birthday on Sunday and my friends are organising a surprise that is apparently last the weekend!
Monday - Beef casserole with mashed potatoes (from the M&S dine for 2 for £10)
Tuesday - Lentil bolognese (freezer)
Wednesday - Fish pie (freezer)
Thursday - Cottage pie (freezer)Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Hi, here's mine:
Fri: gammon steaks and steamed veg
Sat: Not sure yet, maybe prawn stirfry, maybe tortilla
Sun: Toady hole and roasted veg
Mon: Smoked haddock and steamed veg
Tue: Sweet and sour chicken or pork (whatever I find in the freezer first)
Wed: Smoked salmon omelette
Thur: Chilli wraps
Fri: Pork chops and summatworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Here is another lunch thread someone started.
Cold quiche/frittata is a favourite of mine, or wraps instead of bread (or at least was when I worked). Fillings depend on your taste I suppose but I find a spoonful nice relish or pickle (a fancy posh one) can cheer any sandwich up! Is it a home or work lunch ?
(I am sure someone else might post better links soon but this might do in the meantime!).

Tuesday - pasta and pesto
Wednesday - sausage casserole
Thursday - takeaway
Friday - roast

Morning All
Just completed this weeks menu plan- Sun - roast organic lamb
- Mon - Chicken portions and cheesey pots
- Tues - Grilled pork chops with jacket spuds
- Wed - Fry up
- Thurs - something from freezer
- Fri - Chicken n leek bake
- Sat - Chicken wraps and barbeque ribs.
If there is any lamb left over from sunday will turn into lamb stew for my lunches.

MIL is arriving today for three days (with SFIL) - it's a 'let's support son who has been diagnosed with Parkinsons' visit, which is nice, but it's not ideal timing for me, as I need to work all weekend (as usual for this time of year).
So ...
Saturday dinner: roast lamb, roast potato, roast parsnip, carrots, green beans, gravy (MIL's favourite)
Sunday lunch: at pub
Sunday dinner: hm soup of some sort (probably lentil or maybe a barley brothy sort of thing), crumble & cream
Monday dinner: sheperds pie with the leftover lamb, peas & carrots
Tuesday (just us again): chicken satay and rice (frankfurters for the child who doesn't like spicy things)
Wednesday: spaghetti bolognese
Thursday: leftover bolognese turned into chilli, rice, tortillas
Friday: last night's chinese takeaway leftovers retrieved from freezer - crispy beef, mixed veg and rice - and then add to that with duck in plum sauceMortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -

I'm late this week - I was in the US until Friday and then in Wales collecting the dog from his "nana" all weekend.
So this week.....- Monday - leek and potato soup (leftovers for lunch on Tues)
- Tuesday - something to use up fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms - not sure what yet, don't fancy chilli again, perhaps a veggie curry?
- Wednesday - enchiladas
- Thursday - BBQ "chicken/quorn" and wild rice
- Friday - something easy out of the freezer and chips/wedges
I should have everything I need to make all of the above and am trying to stretch the shopping out into next week too.0 -
Bit late in posting again this week, but have been following my MealPlan so far...
sat: Chilli w/ jackets
sun: Chicken Curry (made with thigh meet for first time - less than half the cost + super tasty - so will do that again for sure!)
mon: Tuna Pasta Bake (made extras for freezing but didn't get it into the freezer quick enough - OH stolen it for his lunch! )
tue: HM Pizza
wed: Toad in the Hole
thu: Sardines w/ salsa
fri: Aubergine Parmigano
lunches; leftovers, corned beef sandwich, tinned tomatoes on toast, tuna melt.0
