MARTIN LEWIS on "It pays to watch" says we may NOT be paid interest (ICESAVE)...

Just heard Martin Lewis on "It pays to watch", say that ICESAVE savers may NOT receive interest earned, that hasn't been paid to accounts. For example ISA's with annual interest (I have one:mad: ), and presumably fixed rate bonds too.
If this turns out to be true, then I hope ICELAND sinks.
INSERT BY MARTIN 9 October
Thankfully my assumption was over-cautious, we're now getting indications interest will be paid up to the 7 october. It seems (thankfully) the goernment is very deteremined to ensure not a penny of savers money will be lost.

Just be pleased you got your god damn money back!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
monthly interest is better than annual interest for this reason .Krusty & Phil Madoff, 1990 - 2007:

Smarta**e:rolleyes:0 -
I have money in Icesave and I will be grateful just to get my money back and to retain the ISA wrapper on my savings in there. At this point, interest is totally irrelevant in the face of nearly losing the capital.0

I for one am not happy about this,
I will be out of pocket by at least 3K as a result of this and I expect to be compensated - I m not a troll but a senior creditor to Icsave (which is fully regulated by the FSCS)
I was within the 35K protection limit - How are they allowed to do this>?0 -

You just can't please some people can you. Don't be greedy - there are enough bankers out there who fall into this category.
