You are billed every 6 months on a meter with AW.
I would ring them up tomorrow and they will help you out rather then speculating on here, hope it sorts itself out

I have called them and they confirmed that they estimate our bills, they have put a hold on the additional cost so that we can give them an exact reading then they will adjust the bill if necessary.
They have also advised us to turn off the water and check the reading before and after to see if there are any leaks.
Hopefully their estimates are wrong and once we take the reading this will show this. Fingers crossed.
I will post back following our readings to update everyone.
Thanks for the advice guys, you have been really helpful :TMFWB

Will update you on Wednesday after I have called them. :xmastree:MFWB

Looks like you have a leak then , turn off the meter inside the property as well as the meter , if its still moving then the leak is between the meter and where it joins your internal stopcock.0

Our D/D is only £11 per month as we are in the country and do not have access to mains drainage. Always check your bill as not everyone realises that you don't have to pay for water out when not on the sewage system. Theyr'e not likely to tell you if you don't ask.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
