How do you actually print out the statements, other than take screen grabs, as I couldnt see an option when I logged in earlier?

I've just printed some off. On your accounts list page click on the icon to the right of the account. The thing that looks like a sheet of paper with lines on it then when the transactions appear you have the option of displaying 50, 100 or date span. Then click "print", it'll be then concverted to a printable document.

I would still be interested to know how [ING's] current CDS compares to those of the big UK banks. I'm not sure where to find the latest rating. Anyone know?

TBH, I did it via BACS because I had no immediate concern about them going under, I was just doing it as a precaution but I genuinely would have had to withdraw the money within a week or so anyway.

Can I just check that I have this right?

My money in KE was protected by the UK compensation scheme, which is why I invested in KE rather than say Icesave. With the transfer to ING it is no longer protected by the UK scheme but by the Dutch compensation scheme. Surely rather a radical change to my terms and conditions?

    Any views?

Because Kaupthing HF, the main parent of KSF who own K Edge is withing a gnats hair of going down, and the Icelandic goverment is not showing any signs that it will try to save it. The swedish goverment made an emergency loan payment to try to shore it but i would be surprised if it survives the week.

The outcome that KSF UK has been put into admininistration, and KE has been sold to ING is absolutely the least worst option. Considering that Icesave customers will have to wait months, for their compo, and probably have a real fight to retain ISA rights ect.

You can always morve your money out of ING when the dust settles!
  • Whether it is a that KE is bust or not. Let us all prepare ourself for this.

    Preparations Steps:

    1. First login to your account and take print-outs & screenshots (if you want) of all the pages. I did that just now. Tip: To take screenshot - Press CTRL + PrtScrn (Print Screen). Open Microsoft Paint and Ctrl + V and click on File -> Save As and save it as .gif or .jpeg or .bmp

    2. Go home and find all letters related to Kaupthing Edge and file them along with Print-outs.

    3. Wait for further action. Probably wait for ING direct letter or some more news.

Anything else we can do to be prepared?

I made a BACS transfer yesterday so in a normal situation I would expect it to land on Friday.
