Just followed the link Foo posted to the DIB website and it looks like people were pm'ing the poster and not Foo over here on MSE.
It looks like Foo will just have to do the draw from the people that did pm her, such a shame I saw lots of the posts on the thread which was where I posted too and there were some lovely lovely messages.
Right I'm off to do some lunch for my little ones, will be coming on here to congratulate the winner later hopefully.

I actually cannot believe how low some people will step and post on another website about your win. I do feel very sorry for you Foo. I was one of the MS'ers who left a post on here the first time and saw no wrong in you offering your prize to benefit someone else, very kind of you indeed. Keep smiling hun x

I think that's a great idea, checking the thanks on the comp with the names in the hat. As claire said, at least that way it would go to someone who actually entered it, hoping to win.

yeah you should specify only registered users of this site, wouldnt that narrow the "dibbers" out

This really is a great shame, and I do feel for foo, but if you can not find any other option I would suggest letting the competition promotion people draw an other name from those who originally entered.

What about if you just do a list with all the names you have already and then anyone else who you didn't get chance to see can list their name as well, like we do on the comp prizes posts. Then enter all the user names in a hat but it's all on the board and nothing is "behind the scenes"???? Or even ask a mod to do the draw?

I couldn't enter the comp due to oh not being 30 and 3 of us needing passports!!!
