The Icelandic government, believe it or not, have told me yesterday they have no intention of honouring their obligations here," he said.
Darling said the Treasury would "pursue" Iceland "vigorously" to get the money back.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown says the U.K. will take legal action to recover money held by British savers in branches of troubled Icelandic banks.
Brown told a news conference Wednesday that the government would stand behind the deposits of the British customers. Brown said: "We are showing by our action that we stand by people who save."
Iceland has nationalized two of its major banks, including Landsbanki, the nation's second largest.
British savers reportedly had deposited millions in accounts through Landsbanki's Internet operation, Icesave, which has suspended withdrawals.

I'd go to war with them over that, we could overrun the island in a day and take what we need - and sink their fishing fleet to teach them a lesson, then what would they fall back on? Short of a war we could seize their assets in the UK, for a start. They seem like a dispicible race of people.0 -
UK has seized landsbanki s uk assets
Do you have a link/source for that?
EDIT: I'm sooo slooow
