  • I think your income is what you actually take home. That means it won't include your pension at all as this is deducted 'at source', ie before you get it! That's my understanding, anyway... could be wrong... others will put me right if so!;) CBx

Yeah I know what my gross will be.

With the pension, i make a contribution out of my wages, does this get included in my surplus income or my income before the surplus is worked out? As it gets taken out at source you just put down what the bottom line figure is in your pay packet

Also on my outgoings do i put what i currently pay in debts to cc companies etc or what my situation will be after BR? No you put your normal expenses ie: mort/rent, utilities etc. The debts go in a seperate section.

    Sorry for so many questions.

    Keep asking and don't apologise.

Just putting the final touches to the petition for tomorrow, as i'm am unemployed at the mo (new job on monday), i have put down £0 as income, and left i havent been receiving benefits as my parents have been helping me out. As for outgoings i haven't paid any rent as yet, however this will change come monday when i start my job. I have listed life policy and student loan as only outgoings.

    Does this sound ok?

Remember when you do the next SOA you will be allowed to pay your parents rent, but not at the figure your rent was I dont think.

Good luck tomorrow, hope you will come back and let people know how you got on.

  • was up till about 2am last night finishing off the form and then the printer packed up, so going tomorrow now, will let you all know how it goes.

With my car on HP am I best to tell the finance company I am going BR or let the OR deal with them?

    Thanks

Call the finance company and tell them you are going BR and that they need to repo the car asap. Any damages/fees/charges they apply to you can be included in your BR.

Make sure your forms say it is going to be reposessed and you can add the charges to your BR at a later date.

  • Hi there, excellent advice so far from everyone but i have a problem.. I have a pre pay BREADCARD and am wondering if i can keep it when i go BR in 2 months? The reason i ask is because these cards are aimed at people to use while BRupt, so seems pointless taking mine off me only to replace it a day later? Cheers, Steve.
Gone bankrupt, kept my £500 car as i need it to look for work. Kept Royal mail pension. Lost AXA £3500. Im happy tho :T Thanks to all that helped with my bankruptcy x British Gas Electric are still threating me with court action over the £5,400 I owe them but that was included in the BR hehe
  • Thanks gpk will do.

Where on the form can i add this? As i cant see a space for this, unless i can include it in reasons for br in section 11?

    Thanks

There will be no problem with keeping this as it is not a credit card. I don't think most people even mention having it unless asked.
