temp internet files

I log into Windows (2000) using a different username, either administrator or the normal poweruser I would usually log on with, do 'explore' and then browse to my alternative username and simply delete the complete folders for cookies/ history/temp/temp internet files. Next time you boot up Windows restores these folders. It gets rid of all the rubbish, plus the index.dat files.0

Why not just edit autoexec.bat to run a batch file automatically earasing the index.dats and history at bootup before Windows loads?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
Because I very rarely need to use it as I don't use IE and when I do it takes about 5 seconds or less to simply delete them and I've got the added pleasure of seeing them disappear.0
