Hi, everyone. Back from my drive in the countryside, all nice and chilled, waiting for my "serious amounts of money" to be refunded. Meanwhile, it is great to be sharing a situation with people who have not yet lost their sense of humour, without having to go and find a specially designated joke thread.

Some chill pills coming up.......or, maybe someone else would enjoy a drive through the countryside.

I don't think it's that. I initiated one BACS transfer (on 7/10, 9.16 a.m.) and one CHAPS transfer (on 9/10, 11.37 a.m.). Natwest can't see either in the pipeline.

I'm sure you'll get your money - I initiated a BACS at 11am on 7.10 and HSBC have condfiremed it's waiting to be paid in tomorrow. I think some banks/b.societies don't disclose the info.

That's probably it. Thanks. I'm not too worried, and do expect to see the money tomorrow - I just get a little nervous when others seem to be getting news which I don't!

I initiated mine on 6th but it showed up on 7th. I have made quite a few calls to HSBC, the last one late morning. The very nice man suggested that I phone again just before I go to bed at around 10pm.

I hate phoning them, I feel silly, it is not their fault, they are doing their best, always polite (if a tad patronizing) etc. but I am sure they are a bit tired of all these calls over there in whichever land they are in.

I've been waiting for bacs transfer since the 5th asked for it to come out on the 6th they didn't do it till the 7th as i said Halifax told me not showing yet and to check Friday.

There are serious amounts of money yet to be refunded. If you want a joke thread go and find one because you’re only adding to the length of this thread with your rubbish and it will only aid in it being closed sooner

This reminds me of people that move to a new village and then want to change everything and dictate to others how they should act.
Bet this newbie would like to be or is on the parish council. hehe.
