Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

Not read much of this, but just posting to say that as far as I am concerned BACS was working normally on Wednesday 8th October.
Funds from Tesco/RBS arrived with Northern Rock on same day.
Funds from Ing Direct arrived with Lloyds TSB on Friday 10th as expected.
Hope you all manage to find the funds lost in cyberspace.0 -
I moved my money out of KE before it was ING. If I knew ING was taking it over I would've left it in the account...:rolleyes:0

I hope my transfer appears tomorrow too, kept busy all weekend to block it out, house looks great, walked my ds to death, ironed everything in sight.Tried to ignore my friends astonishment at my stupididty of having savings in KE bank,I wish we had,nt discussed it because I said nothing but my one friend said' please don,t tell me you had savings in there'!!What could I say!!
I am being positive and the assurances do look good from ING,just feel so bad I risked my families savings,as in me and my children,s for a good rate of interest. If money comes through ok,have decided to buy me a new(old)car, not sure why, just feel I have scrimped and saved all my life and it has frightened me really.Maybe I need to get a better perspective on life and try and enjoy what money I do have.I will never spend it all mind, not my nature but maybe I have been too tight.!!
Changed our perspective totally.
sleep well and let us know if you get your ££££££££££ tomorrow - will get repetitive strain soon

As you may be aware the UK Treasury has taken action to protect your savings, transferring all individual’s savings balances from Kaupthing Edge to ING Direct.
Your savings are now with ING Direct, the world’s leading direct savings bank and part of the Dutch based ING Group which is one of the world’s largest banks with assets in excess of £1 trillion and 85m customers.
We are working quickly to ensure that it is business as usual for all customers and we look forward to extending our approach of offering simple and straight-forward products, backed by award-winning customer service.
I would therefore like to take this opportunity to welcome you to ING Direct and to reassure you at this uncertain time.
We have added some information below about ING Direct to answer some of the questions that you may have. We will be updating the website regularly to give you more information. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact a member of the customer services team.
I’ll be writing to you again shortly with further details of the account transfer process. In the meantime, please operate your account as normal.
My chaps hasn't arrived yet - guess tomorow - unless it bounces back to my KE account:s either way I want my lost interest!0 -

Wouldn't we all. I started off kicking myself too, but there's no way in the world we could have predicted this turn of events. Let's just hope we all have something to celebrate next week when our money (touch wood) turns up safe and sound, like the early-bird BACS transferors' did x:beer:0 -
Well after feeling sorry for myself today because I am still awaiting for my money I went for a long walk to keep me occupied. Just returned from dinner with friends to settle down to a quiet evening. Feel more confident now and hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be reunited with my money.
I also have about 8,000 pounds left in the fixed account and I understand ING are going to honour the fixed terms rate that I enjoyed with KE.
Anyway fingers crossed for everyone who is still waiting for their money.0 -
Anyone else covering-up for keeping coming back to this thread? Just told my lady that I'm searching for ideas to get a local post office back open. Hate myself for it! (Will log off to see Stephen Fry touring the US in a black cab, on TV at 9 o'clock, though.)
What we will do when we're through this?0 -
is it okay to xfer from ke now?
any advice?:beer:0 -
I would wait until all the transactions currently being tracked on this forum are done. That way you should get a normal CHAPS or BACS transfer......something we have a ll been dreaming of ;-)
Cheers,

Yes I am hooked to this thread, and I will be until I know my money's come through ... it's really good to know others are in the same situation, kept me sane over the w/e definitely.0
