Thanks for that. I will be looking at my account from first thing tomorrow. I received an email from ING direct today but this is, hopefully, not because they still have my money but because I kept it open with a small amount.0 -
I hadn't planned to contibute any more to this thread, but I was just sitting here browsing various gov.uk documents and I came across this which for anyone still with worries should probably read to put your mind at rest -

Now, my KE BACS transfer (placed last Sunday, actioned last Monday morning) finally materialised as a CHAPS transfer into my linked a/c Friday afternoon.
The link above indicates (I believe) the extent to which gov.uk in the form of the treasury / BoE and ING are working together to get this resolved. Unless you are one of those who have non-online accounts (which, from earlier messages seems to be maybe around a couple of thousand people) everything WILL HAPPEN automatically. It just may take a couple of days into next week. The impression I get is that for those with non-online (postal? or telephone only? perhaps - I'don't know for sure - it wasn't spelled out) would probably have to contact the FSCS people.
This is just my understanding - feel free to correct me!
extract for web page referred above - A small number of retail depositors have accounts with Kaupthing that are not part of the “Edge” brand or accounts with Heritable which have not been transferred to ING Direct. These depositors will receive their money in full. They will need to apply to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme to receive their deposit. Further detail can be found on the FSCS website (http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/ ) or by phoning 0207 892 7300.
OK, that's my last post! And thanks to our brilliant TV stars, well done both of you - hope you can afford the razor soon Luke....The 'Mad' refers to my state of mind, not my degree of anger.... (still crazy after all these years)0 -

I hope my transfer appears tomorrow too, kept busy all weekend to block it out, house looks great, walked my ds to death, ironed everything in sight.Tried to ignore my friends astonishment at my stupididty of having savings in KE bank,I wish we had,nt discussed it because I said nothing but my one friend said' please don,t tell me you had savings in there'!!What could I say!!
I am being positive and the assurances do look good from ING,just feel so bad I risked my families savings,as in me and my children,s for a good rate of interest. If money comes through ok,have decided to buy me a new(old)car, not sure why, just feel I have scrimped and saved all my life and it has frightened me really.Maybe I need to get a better perspective on life and try and enjoy what money I do have.I will never spend it all mind, not my nature but maybe I have been too tight.!!0 -
I know what you mean... I kept myself busy too - I'm building my first house so helped out there - I just hope I get my savings next week so I can pay the builders ... and that we have some more news on Icesave asap so I can have a peacefu night sleep0
