Contact your CC company as they are liable, you will be sent a form which will require details of the administrators etc.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

They told me to return the shoes as they may have sent the wrong ones.
I told them that they had sent fake versions of the shoes i requested.
They once again told me to return the shoes because they may have sent the wrong ones.
Am i liable to pay the p&p to return them to china?
Is there a quick fix if i bought them with my credit card but they cost less than £100 a pair?
Cheers
As they cost less than £100. each then S75 does not apply. However it does depend how the invoice is printed, if they are listed as separate items of less than £100. then you have no chance, but if the invoice only says a total then you may have a chance, suggest you contact your CC company.
As they came from China, SoGA does not apply, so whilst you shouldn't be paying return P&P. they may require you to and I can't see what you can do about that.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I had read that only the main cardholder is guaranteed protection under section 75, and that purchases made by additional cardholders on the same card may not be covered. Do you know if this is true and why?0

Yes it is true, see here. "Purchases must be made by the ‘principal cardholder’, so if you lend your card to a family member, or a secondary cardholder makes a purchase, these won’t be covered."

Thanks for the reply. So it seems there is little point in having additional cardholders, and that it would be better for everyone to have their own card account (assuming that they can get a card on their own credit rating)0

Yes, as suggested here.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
just a quick question about Section 75.
i bought an item worth £1100 for this protection, however my card now has a £0 balance and I want to cancel as the APR if I used the card is now a massive 39%.
if I cancel the card do I still have Section 75 protection? or does it end when I end the card?0 -
Hi guys! Hoping someone can help with this! In January 2008 I bought at 37" TV from my local Sainsburys at £425. 1 year and 2 days after I bought it it broke! I took it to Sainsburys where I was told quite unhelpfully tough! Other than vowing never to buy any thing from them ever again, I ended up having to pay an extra £97 quid to repair the TV and got an engineer report which said the power supply that the TV had been fit with was "Not fit for purpose".
As I bought this on my credit card, I wrote to Halifax asking them to refund the money for the TV using section 75. I got a reply yesterday saying that
"Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit, we have joint liability with the supplier of the goods. Televisions are normally covered by a 1 year manufacturer's guarantee within which time they have the repair or replace.
You do have rights under the Sales of Goods Act whereby you can reject goods within a resonable time. However "reasonable time" is not specified.... whether you you have the right to reject the goods after this time is a question of law and we do not feel it is right for us to mediate on whether there has been a breach of contract.... We are aware of our liabilities uder Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and we appreciated that you may choose to sue either the supplier, ourselves or both of us..."
Any ideas on what should I do??? All hep will be great!! You'll be my guardian angel!:A
UPDATE: Took long enough but the FSA has agreed with us, and we have had the £91 repair bill refunded. 8% interest added (more than we would have got with the bank!) and £25 for inconveince!
Very happy! Letter come today - going to use it towards my new kitchen!:D0 -

If you can't get it out of the company as it's gone under, go to the section on this website for Section 75 Credit Card and use their downloaded letter, submit this to the bank and make them liable for the course. If (like me) your bank wont refund you, take it to the FSA. It could take a year as they are currently very busy (mine has only just been settled) where the FSA will decide (and they usually will as they agree to a policy of fairness) and award you the money back.
Good luck!:)0 -
I bought a t-mobile contract lately and got it delivered to my registered address. The phone set costed me £199.99, which I paid using my American Express Blue Credit Card.
Since it was a holiday season and I wasn't available at that address, I requested my partner to send me the package to my holiday address by 1st Class Recorded without any insurance.
Surprisingly, I didn't get the delivery till today and it is been 16 working days already. I have filed a claim to Royal Mail but as per policy I will only get £39 as it was a First Class Recorded without insurance.
Now the questions is, am I protected under Section 75 to claim the £199.99 that I paid to to mobile phone provider even though the phone was delivered when they sent it and only got misplaced when it was posted again?
Thanks in advance!!0
