Hi guys, just had another depressing bootsing experience...

You guys might remember yesterday a couple of us were discussing about the Oral b toothbrushes, well, I reported yesterday that I tried 3 combinations (2 brushes) in 3 occasions but the vouchers wouldn't work. Today again tried 1 brush with 1 pack of heads twice, not working again, so finally decided to take the professional 6000 pack, which is NOT on any offer or discount, just full price at £39.99, but the 1500 points voucher still didn't scan

Nobody understood why, anyway this SA at electrical section decided to "add later" as it didn't make any sense, she tried the £5 elec voucher and ts which both worked, then she told me now the total had come to £29.99 so we didn't meet the £30 threashold so I can't use the points coupon. Was really speachless...

I'm not the kind of person who easily give up, and think this is totally SA dependant, so went to another till, I told this SA I had bad experience with finding a brush that actually works with the voucher and she said "oh you are the one who tried last week"!! icon8.gif She tried the points coupon, well, of course it's beeping again. She said she had to go and ask the SA in charge of electrical  She went for a while and came back, probably they knew it's me who tried twice, then she wouldn't even let me use total spend voucher from ACM with the 1500 points voucher  , I hadn't even shown her the £5 vouchers YET! She volunteered to take me to the electrical SA so that they can explain to me AGAIN! I just can't bear it any more and told her I've spent so much time there and can't be bothered.

Well, really sorry for all the complaining! Just realised all these bootsing experience way too stressful and depressing. For all the stress/time to plan a list of shopping and vouchers, and then try my luck everytime, I just realised it's so not worth it. I think I'm just going to use up all my points and shop somewhere else from now on icon9.gif

    Sorry guys...

Oh dear Jessie_yi - how frustrating for you. I'm waiting for the 1500 points voucher that a fellow Bootser is very kindly sending before I attempt a very similar transaction, so I'll let you know how I get on.

Isn't there another branch that you can try?
  • I got 3 x sunsilk shampoo reduced to 58p (342)
    3 x pantene reduced to £1 (342)
bikini bottoms reduced to £1 but went through the till at 25p

Bounced into Boots at lunchtime. Saw the lovely lady SA and I thought I would have a little chit chat with her whilst purchasing my lunch. Asked her about the new voucher thing. She said she was not sure, but she had some £5 perfume ones that customers had left and said I could have them. Woohoo. Got 3. Felt like giving her a big pouty kiss, but thought best not to. What would the neighbours say. LOL. *** Can't wait to bounce into Boots tomorrow. Woohoo. This is a bit of a naughty idea, but could you use the No 17 Lip Stick voucher thing, a PINKie for a No 7 item and pay very little for your 3 beauty items? You buy 3 items, 3 for 2, so the cheapest is free, the No 17 voucher lets you have the Lip Stick for free, and then the £5 off the No 7 item? Or is that just wishful thinking? *** Happy BOOTSing, and don't forge to *pout*

    Hi Mimi
With the last lot of pinkies I bought No 7 wipes, 17 lippy and 17 eyeshadow and just paid £1.50 for the wipes, the rest went through free so hopefully should work again.

Does anyone know if the voucher for a free 17 lippy are actually scanning without a beep now? Before it worked in some stores, but not many.

Also, has anyone else seen the no7 mirror scanning at 9.99?

didn't scan for me, it beeped. bought a rimmel concealer, 17 nail varnish and lippy. sa told me to get another item so i could get the 342. told her i would just leave it (as i didn't wasnt to spend anymore) and i would just take concealer.

she ended up just put lippy in my bag and kept the voucher. so didn't even have to 'buy' a 17 thing!! think she was more confused than me!

not as good as 341 but still free lippy.:D
And truth be told I miss you...
