Hi Sazzyb, great to find another Londoner! The stores that I know that have ss tills are: Bond Street station but it's quite a small branch, Selby Place - the one just up from Bond Street Station - ss tills are downstairs but are closely "guarded" by SS SA's! Liverpool Street station have a bank of them near to the pharmacy area, finally another poster on here said they have them at Brent Cross. HTH. ;)

There are also SS tills at the small store in Victoria Place and also the Boots by the tube station at Fulham Broadway.

It's such a shame you are treated like that, and it sounds like the staff have pointed you out to each other as someone who uses a lot of coupons and is thus "suspicious". Totally unfair, but hard to do much about it. I'd still complain, though.

As to helping you avoid that store, did you know you can get prescriptions delivered to your home for free? I've thought about using this service myself when I've gotten fed up with Boots, and I may do it yet some day. It's at Chemist Direct. I think you set it up basically like a repeat service at Boots, but you do it through the post. Has anyone else used this service?

Thankyou Skibster for you support and help, i will have a look in to chemist direct for my prescriptions, as i do find the repeat prescriptions good for me, as i would have to go to my doctors to drop off the script and then go to pick it up and as i don't drive, to do this every month is hard.

I know you can't do much about it. That is why I feel I am gonna tone down my BOOTSing. Most of the SA's are brill, just smile and start conversation with them and they are lovely, but there are a few that look at you like you have just jumped from Mars! There is one SA at my local Boots who just has this attitude to her. Can't stand her. I tend to just avoid the attitude filled SA's and go to nicer ones. Most of the SA's at the Leeds store are just adorable. If you have 4 PINKIES and want them to do 4 x the same transaction, they do it, and don't scowl or give you attitude at all.

I know what you mean mimi, i find that im not going to boots as much as i used to espically with the pinkies been around. I do find the birstall store that the staff there are brillant, they are friendly and really lovely.

  • Does anyone know if to get the estee lauder GWP you have to buy certain products? Or is it any two? like could I get two tender lip balms for £11 each? Thus getting the GWP for a £22 spend? TIA

It's with two or more EL products icon7.gif, but if you are using the 750 points voucher, one has to be skincare, but you can also use all those acm total spend voucher and mailing total spend vouchers with it, so might be worth it.

Personally I quite like the green bottle "idealist", it's like No7 P&P serum but probably a more premium version of it. Also the "advanced night repair" is a product that's highly recommended by many people I know as well as online reviews. I used to get dots on my face frequently, this ANR really helps while those clearasil products just make it worse for me. However it's not on the cheap side, 30ml ones are for £34 but IMO it's worth it. There're cheaper skincare products too but thought might just get something I can use.
    Here are the links:
    Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
Advanced Night Repair Protective Recovery Complex

EL has a breast cancer support lip gloss collection (£13) as well which I think probably is of better value than the lip balm icon7.gif
    Elizabeth Hurley Lipgloss Collection

Regarding the GWP, TBH, it looks nicer on picture than real

    HTH.

It's worth noting that all pharmacies are competing for your repeat prescriptions, this is what generates their main source of revenue. Most pharmacies have a repeat prescription service, some offer a home delivery service too.
If you have a convenient local pharmacy then check with them too.

Thankyou for this, i think that superdrug might do repeat prescriptions.
