A very valid point binkyboo, well done for making it. It makes me wonder just how much of profit from these products goes to the charity, and how much of it is down to the Big stores and big brands cashing in on potentially life threatening illness.

I support BC charities all the year round and prefer to do it direct to the charity. At the same time I do like to buy some of the products, especially the crystal pins etc. (I will get off my soapbox now, but its something that I feel strongly about) Good on you for challenging them though:T :T :T

As for the sales assistant ...Well  she should just be glad it wan't me she challenged. "Where are you getting them all from" indeed
Polls, linky here which explains about Boots percentage contributions on breast cancer care items, seems it's between 10 and 20% depending on the item.

I'm fairly sure however that if you buy the pin badges and phone charms, usually found at the tills, that 100% of the money goes to the charity. I was looking at this online recently but can't find the link just now to confirm it.
  • I really hope you can use the pinky for the R&M mirror!

I'm off to Boots tomorrow to give it a try....so will report back...hopefully with good news!

Hello, I’m new to this, though have been reading through all the posts.
Thank you to the person who pointed out the half Price Front Cover rainbow eyes set – this is top of my Christmas list! Something that occurred to me that I thought I’d post is:
If you get 2 other things that are the same price, this would equal the same as if they were half price.

Eg All the Christmas stuff's on 3 for 2. So.... if the Eye stuff is £15, the best thing to do would be to get 2 other things the same value as each other, but less than the £15. That way, £15 is the most expensive price. SO if you got 2 other things of say £10 each, one of the £10 would be free. That would mean that they effectively were costing £5 each, which is exactly the same as it would be in the half price sale!!

Also, if it is possible to use one of the No7 vouchers on the Christmas stuff, you could do better than in the sales
Eg Buy the Front Cover eyes for £15 then buy a No 7 gift at £18 and something else at £18.
You’d pay £18+£18 = £36 with the £15 free. If you were able to use the £5 voucher, the total would be £31.
All these !tems in the sale would equal £15+£9+£9 = £33
Have I got these workings outs correct?!

The pinkie worked for me on the R&M I-define brush, not sure if it works on all of them though I don't see why not. If you can get it to work on a giftset then there's a travel brush set which would be £10 using a pinkie.

If you are in the healthclub then the Boots Tens machine is one of the half price offers (or it used to be), so £24.99 with 300 extra points back hth
