Does anyone know if Birmingham Bull Ring have SS tills???
I also have a No7 illuminating mirror that I'm not going to use now I've managed to get the Compact mirror instead. It's not in the box as I took it out to use but haven't actually used it.
If anyone would like it, I live in Shropshire and would be happy to meet up somewhere to hand it over in exchange preferably for a till spit or a pinkie. Otherwise I can find out how much it would be to post.... just drop me a PM if you're interested.
Would rather it go to a good home rather than gather dust in my spare room!
Sorry for such a long post xx:heart: I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0 -
Hi,
Got a £5 off when you spend £30 on electrical beauty 'shiny type' (not mailing, not till spit) voucher (exp. 02/11/08). I don't want it 'cos it doesn't work with the mirrors.
Pm me if you want it.
Sorry, gone now0 -
just a quick question for you all about SS tills and the TS version of the pinky. I have used the pinky and the ts version on the self scan - pinky goes through fine and asks me to put it in the slot - the ts version also scans fine - says 'free item' and then asks me to put the item in the bagging area. this has happened twice in 2 different stores and then, as i havent had anything to put in the bagging area it has prompted the sa to come over - who has luckily just scanned a code in and gone away again without looking at it too much. so my question is - is there any way to stop this from happening as obviously there is more risk of the coupons not being allowed if this happens....

Did you use the manned tills or SS tills for the above shop? When I use the SS I have the same problem as deb, above. I havn't dared use the manned tills tho'!
BTW deb have you tried the 'skip the bagging' button? I did this on an ordinary (non-glitchy) shop when buying goods that don't weigh anything (thereby not triggering the scales under the carrier bags) worked once but the second item the SA had to come over. hth0 -

i am still fairly new to all this so i got myself in a right old tizzy with the staff at the no7 counter today! i bought the no7 cellulite contouring balm with a pinky so nothing to pay, that was easy.
I then bought a no7 breast cancer lip balm which said £6.50 but it went through the till at 3.25 i paid with a pinky and then when the sa realised i had nothing to pay she was on the phone to her manager asking if she should sell it to me if i was paying nothing for it because it was for charity! i said its too late now you have already done the transaction and if you are bothered you shouldn't be reducing items that are for charity!
my last purchase was a no7 eye gel for £8 i decided to return an unopened heated eyelash curler which i bought with a pinky recently and paid 99p toward so i assumed £2 to pay towards the eye gel. Sa rang it up and told me i had £7 to pay! then sa had to go back on the phone to ask wether i was allowed to use the previous voucher again, and finally the gurdgingly allowed it.
before i left the sa said to me 'you've got a lt of vouchers haven't you where are you getting them all from' i spend good money in there to get the vouchers and then they say something like that! but at least i got everything i wanted in the end just a bt of a faff to get it all!
A very valid point binkyboo, well done for making it. It makes me wonder just how much of profit from these products goes to the charity, and how much of it is down to the Big stores and big brands cashing in on potentially life threatening illness.
I support BC charities all the year round and prefer to do it direct to the charity. At the same time I do like to buy some of the products, especially the crystal pins etc. (I will get off my soapbox now, but its something that I feel strongly about) Good on you for challenging them though:T :T :T
As for the sales assistant ...Well  she should just be glad it wan't me she challenged. "Where are you getting them all from" indeed~ What goes around comes around ~0
