  • Good shop at Boots Llanishen this weekend :)

I was buying CK One for my mum as a Christmas present and wanted to use up a fragrance voucher. SEL said £21.50 but it scanned for £15! (50ml bottle) Got it for £10 with the fragrance voucher :T So worth keeping an eye out for any other reductions.

I got the following with No7 vouchers:

No7 Pencil Sharpener - 50p (this is a really good sharpener, a lot of other ones I've tried always snap them  )
    No7 File & Buff set - FREE
No7 Firm Your Body Tan Maintainer - FREE

And ended up with another free eye dazzle - don't think I'll ever use them

Does anyone know when the new No7 gwp comes out? Saving a pinky and TS for it!

just a quick question for you all about SS tills and the TS version of the pinky. I have used the pinky and the ts version on the self scan - pinky goes through fine and asks me to put it in the slot - the ts version also scans fine - says 'free item' and then asks me to put the item in the bagging area. this has happened twice in 2 different stores and then, as i havent had anything to put in the bagging area it has prompted the sa to come over - who has luckily just scanned a code in and gone away again without looking at it too much. so my question is - is there any way to stop this from happening as obviously there is more risk of the coupons not being allowed if this happens....

    thanks xxx

The same thing happened to me the other week, which ended up with an SA supervising me on the tills then I couldn't put through both vouchers

Someone else mentioned about skipping bagging - you can't skip it as when it happened to me I'd already scanned all my items.

Does everyone else scan TS & pinky without any problems/authorisation needed?
  • melgirl - seems like it should all go through fine! Except perhaps the 17 blush and eye dazzle, some people said that it was beeping on the till and SA wouldn't override?

Hi all, I'm new to all this, but have a question that I hope someone can help with.

Has anybody tried a tens machine for back pain/sciatica?

They are on half price at Lloyds pharmacy. Is there a way to get one for a bargain at Boots? I have various vouchers, fragrance, mailings, kiosk, magazine(inc. mens insert) etc. that I'm willing to swap for help.

    Thanks

Ps - Where I live & where I work are only small Boots, there's never any clearance or bargains but magazines with inserts are usually easy to come by.

    Hi,
I have used a Tens machine for back pain & sciatica and I think it does help. I dont know if they are classed as an electrical item, but if they are then you could use the £5 vouchers that are about at the moment to get a bit off.

This is a good one and also has 300 points back with it http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=844270&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051.

It didn't work for me last week, but apparantly it works now, so I am going to try again.

Only when you buy from 3 4 2 mens toilitries range NOT 3 4 2 mix and match eg
    1 weekender bag @£14
    2 no7 men face wash @£6.50

You would put all 3 through the till and get one mens no7 item free on the 3 4 2
Then use the half price weekend bag voucher
Then use a ts/pinkie which takes off £5.00
    Leaving total to pay £8.50.
    Plus another ts/pinkie!

    thanks pat

wanted a couple of xmas gifts and would have tried them together if it would have worked!

Currently (no pun intended :p ) selected Boots brand tens machines have 300 points back when you buy online, not sure if this is instore too.

Alternatively, if you wanted to buy instore then you could go on one of the upcoming Xmas shopping evenings and get 1000 points back when you spend £50.

The £5 electrical vouchers are on electrical beauty AFAIK so not sure if you could use one against a tens machine or not.

You should be able to borrow a tens machine free from your doctors surgery if you want to try one out to see if it helps first.

I asked recently if the pinkie and/or till spit can be used on a gift set but no one seemed sure. I know they cant be used if you are doing 342 on gift sets but i want a mens one and have a half price mens no 7 and various pinkies and till spits.I am going to try the £35 one and hopefully get it half price with £5 off and the GWP! The half price t &c dont mention any exclusions , but the front says 'any No 7 product' so may only work on an individual item.

Anyone tried using the old pc £5 off of £20 spend on the £19.99 mirror alone or with another item to take it over the £20 threshold? TIA :)
