    Evening!

    My money saving day today...

    1. I took a packed lunch to work today, saving me at least £2 - doesn't sound like much, but I have banned myself from buying my lunch. That will save me approx £10 p/w or about £500 per year!

    2. Had a shower in work, saving me the price of water!

    3. Declined an invite out with friends which would cost me at least £15.

    4. Arranged to do a couple of hours overtime time at work tomorrow.

    5. Going to phone HSBC later to find out what they can do about removing my loan insurance.
    Debt at LBM - £7992.46
    Current Debt - £6218.56

    So far - 22.2% of debt paid off!

    Claireabelle, well done for canceling the credit card with Halifax, i know how ruthless they can be. Must feel strange having that big debt out the way now, after how much of a ball and chain it was!

    Bagpuss, another tma?! Your always doing tma's, you must be super organised!

    Hi everyone.
    Late entry today. Have managed to:-
    * Post Amazon book from first sale - used old bubblewrap from work (shame on me!)
    * Returned DVDs on trial subscription immediately after we'd watched them (rather than them sitting around for a week)
    * Wrote Xmas pressie list
    * Daily clicks inc referrals on Pigsback for sister and nephew
    * Daily bongo free scratchcards
    * Line dried washing
    * Took lunch from home (donated by MIL)
    * Posted student loan forms (hurray they're gone!)
    * Tried to get home insurance sorted with Halifax but their computer seems to be down again (tried all weekend - rang them in the end and they said they couldn't do anything about it!)
    Plan to be brave next week and work out my total debt - not sure I want to tell anyone about it though - been hiding it for years - how sad. It's about time to do it though and this website has helped me start to face how important it is to sort it out.
    Hope your evenings go well.

    Hi Katrss7,
    It can be really scarey sorting out your debts and seeing the whole picture but it is also liberting in a strnge way as you start to feel some control over them, even if it is only knowing the exact situation you' re in.
    Good luck with it all, it is a huge step to take:T
