My sister is taking french lessons, she did the tapes etc but is now going to someone for a one to one.

I keep sending her messages in french on her facebook.

But afraid to say I just use babelfish to translate it for me :D;)

God only knows what your message said.

Sorry, OP, can't help. I speak fluent french but that's because I learnt it from my mother.

You've probably not said what you intended then. ;) :rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I'm learning Russian with a BBC Talk Russian course - have a look on Amazon. Je parle un petit peu de Francais, pour le bar!

There are a few courses on eBay too, Pimsleur is the gold standard and Rosetta Stone is good too....but expect to part with a lot of cash for them. I have a Russian course from Pimsleur and it helps get your pronunciation spot on!

Je recommande Michel Thomas aussi. C'est relativement facile. ;)

why would you want to learn a useless language?
    try german, japanese or arabic.

    Idiot.

French is useful to anyone who lives in/visits France, Switzerland, Belgium, several African countries, Martinique (and several other islands), or Canada.

Also, your response is terribly unhelpful, so why bother posting?
