How to save money, use less electricity and be less stressed

Thought that would get your attention!
Seriously though, as I read the posts of various people, especially people here for the long haul, I find many references to this madly stressfull activity, so I just HAD to ask.....
What do you iron.

I iron ......nothing. Nada not a sausage. By carefully folding things, and hanging OH shirts up when wet, nothing is creased enough to warrant ironing. So when I read of people stressing because they have an ironing mountain, I just get genuinely confused as to why this is?
Ok in the 50's or whenever, then yes things did need to get ironed because heavy cotton did crease. But these days that isn't the case. To me there is no point in iron my DS's clothes because in 30 secs they would be creased anyway (if they do crease)
So break out of the ironing addiction. Free up time, money, help the environment, and DESTRESS!!:D :T :rotfl:

Next time you are in the UK, I will introduce you to my washing and ironing pile then you can tell me where I am going wrong........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I don't iron....unless it is stuff for work which is made of such poor quality fabric that there are always creases which I don't like to see.
But my iron sees very little activity unless I am "wunda-webbing" hems or pressing fabric when I am sewing or knitting.
Never quite understand people who iron knickers, socks and tea towels0 -
I iron only what needs it and thats very little :j0

By way of illustration, the only thing I haven't unpacked yet is my ironing board, it is still wrapped from the container!!!!
Hypno maybe you need to wean yourself off ironing. So first of all stop ironing the socks.......I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I have to iron my work clothes, how else do you get a crease in your trousers? I also iron t-shirts, especially polo shirts or else the collar just doesn't sit right. I don't iron sheets, undies (my grandmother did iron Grandpa's boxers though!) or tea towels.

Permanent crease trousers? T shirts are meant to be casual, my t shirts aren't creased when I take them off my airers?
thanks for the replies, good start to a lively debate

Jumpers I put on the radiator to dry and sometimes they don't need ironing but mostly they do. See I wear mainly t-shirts (nice fitted ones not huge and baggy) or jumpers with my work clothes because I think this is less ironing. Much easier than shirts or blouses.
