Tesco.com are worse than usless

I have had "fun and games " with tesco.com this week

Sunday - placed an order for delivery slot 9 - 11pm

Monday - went to work on the night shift hubby rang at midnight to say it had not arrived  and all phone lines closed at 11pm!!!

Tuesday - got in from work and had to wait up til 9am:mad: to speak to customer services who admitted the order had gone back on the van. After a lot of to and froing and 1 hour on the phone order will be delivered tuesday night and i asked for compensation and they send me an e -voucher for £10

I go to work. 10.30 hubby phones tesco to check status of delivery - ooops:eek: not put on a van tesco say a manager will ring me at home at 8.30 when i get in from work

Wednesday -n they did not ring I rang them eventually get through to a manager who said the next available delivery slot is on thursday night:mad:
so no food for 4 days. I got another £20 off them and a full refund. Got up at 2 and went to ASDA to do shopping

Tesco.com are worse than usless:mad:

When I ordered an item to collect from the store the next day. They phone me up and told me to 'come and get it', I said 'can I come now?' 'Yes' he said. I said 'see you in half an hour'. Would you believe it - when I got there he had gone to lunch and there was no-one else who could come to the desk!!! I had driven nearly 30 miles and they asked me to come back later.... I asked to see a Manager and then they got the poor lad back from his lunch early.. Felt sorry for him but the sign on the desk didn't say they were closed for lunch and if he had told me, I would have gone straight away.. Haven't ordered anything since.

  • I got a phone call last week to say "we haven't got enough drivers working tonight, don't suppose you can come and collect the order?"
    Erm....no, that's why I had ORDERED it!
I certainly will be voting with my feet.
Morrisons (AKA Mozza's) here I come.
  • This surprises me, I've always had great service from Tesco but I guess it depeneds which store it's coming from. I always used Asda until I got fed up with so many out of stock items and lack of discount codes.

Me too, always good experiences with Tesco and have a couple of grocery deliveries every month, and once in awhile a wine club delivery or something from Direct. Sainsbury is good, too, but with Tesco I get the clubcard points and always have codes for either money off my shopping or extra points, so I've only used Sainsbury twice when they had something on offer that I wanted to stock up on. Maybe the problem is with late-night deliveries? I usually get mine in the afternoon.

And the positive thing I see here is that they refunded the purchase price and gave the complainant 30 quid more. Sure, it's better to not have the stressful hassle, but at least they tried to make amends in a big way, which is a good sign that a company will deal with or make up for problems.

I ordered a cd from them, took 9 weeks for delivery.

Ordered a dancing stage for wii on 19th Sept, delayed my delivery twice and they are now saying it will be delivered in December.... I don't think so, just cancelled my order.

Never had a problem with deliveries - better than great service but their fruit and veg always went off within 2 days - the amount I've thrown away is terrible and I'm not one to throw ANYTHING away if I can help it. Voted with my feet and gone to my nearby Asda - even though they don't deliver.
