Hi, The post you made 4 weeks ago here has different sums to the ones you post now by alot http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1150525.

On that post you said your OH owed £5,500 and you owed £475 on one CC. And was asking for advice whether you should start trying for a family while in debt. But now pregancy was unplanned and you owe £2000 and your OH owes £4,000? 4 weeks ago you only had £475 debt where has the £1525 extra come from?

Also i dont understand why you said you cant live in a flat because of your cars??

Anyway, You should post on the Debt-free board like someone a few posts up suggested, they are all very helpful.

Daft Pegasus: No they do not know at the moment. We have found a little place for rent for £475 p/month inc all bills which we are going to look at later on today so hopefully that is nice and we can move in there. Its detatched and loadsa parking and gardens - some1 up there must of heard me moaning! lol

Roxie - thank you, yes i probs could get out of my car thing, but I don't want to, we talked about it and its just not an option. Thanks for the workings out.

Mariagti - the figures are different because (as stated in my post) i took out 0% cards for him as his credit rating is rubbish, so now that £5.5k is spread between us both. We couldnt live in a flat because there is no parking with flats, let alone room for 2 cars.

I will look on the debt free board and the up your income board now. thanks

Good luck Penpop - I am sure you will work out how to get the ends meet. Everyone does. I hope the place you are going to see today is nice. Forget the décor and whatever is in the rooms. Just make sure the walls are standing and if you don't like the colour - just ask if you would be allowed to repaint the walls.

Take care of yourself and don't listen to those who say you can't have the baby!

Too many people are getting hung up about the car. In hindsight it was probably a mistake to get a car on finance but there is little you can do once you have entered into the contract.

I think the first thing you can do is tell your parents you are pregnant. You can lose nothing by it but have alot to gain, for example negotiating a pay rise for at least your OH if not both of you. They might also put the house swap with your sister on hold to give you time to find somewhere else to rent.

Congratulations and try not to worry too much, you are already making good progress with your debts, just remember to prioritise so your paying the ones with the highest APR off first.
