Blimey, after WW2 - and for a few years afterwards - of having to use squares of newspaper in the lav, I'd never give up my Andrex !
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

How disgusting - why dont you just buy the cheapest loo roll and flush it away - never to be seen again.

If I went to your house for a coffee would you expect people to do the same? I bet that bucket smells divine!

    Cheapscate - one word brilliant!
What goes around comes around !! Simple but very true :rotfl:

Dirty, dirty thought. Are you also the kind of person that doesnt shower for a year to save water and drink your own urine?

I kind of feel sorry for the OP. I'm tempted to ask for his/her address so I can send them a stock of loo roll!

Seriously though, this is taking money saving a step too far. Think HYGIENE!
This space is available to rent... :D

Tricia, don't worry. Guests are treated to loo paper. The nappy bucket has a lid so only pongs if you open it.

Farso: actually, it's *cleaner* than using loo paper. Ladies will know that little bits of loo paper are sometimes left behind after wiping. Not so with reusable wipes.

It's no more disgusting than using cloth nappies for babies.

And I'm not the only one. For example:

I honestly don't know why so many people are saying it's disgusting to do this, it's no different than using washable nappies with babies. Why is it that everything babies do is 'cute' and 'natural' whereas the same thing for adults is 'disgusting'? I won't personally do this as I live alone and think the washing would be less green then just flushing but I have absolutely no problem with it and give kudos to the OP for suggesting it.

Couldn't be doing with this and think there are better ways to save money and reduce use of the world's resources.

However, I wouldn't criticise those who do - think the comments against the OP are getting unnecessarily nasty.
