The Wii will be £149.97 not £99

Oh pants - that's not much of a reduction - they are only £179.99 with a free game from woolworths.
  • Thanks guys, you have saved me a trip to Sainsburys tomorrow!
  • I'd better add though that Woollies online are outta stock!!!

Probably quite likely, but for the very reason they will be reduced, don't buy them if you want the latest console or you have kids who will give you grief over "needing" the very latest thing. DH informs me that Microsoft are abandoning the 360 very soon in favour of a new console (as they did with previous XBox so early in its life) and that Wiis will be HD with much better graphics very soon as well - although games will be backwardly compatible so new releases can still be played on old version.

Great bargain though if you are a casual gamer :)

The 360 still has a few years life and the Wii HD that has just been announced wont be out till 2011 so that's along way off

So plenty of time for people to enjoy a new Wii or 360
If this post helped you Please say thanks :)

The 360 is such a bargain at those prices - I thought mine was good value and I paid £300 for the bundle a couple of years back...

Ah OK, not so bad then. I assumed from the way DH was whinging about it that it would be much sooner - don't know why he was moaning anyway, any excuse for a new console...

Still, £150 isn't bad - wonder if it comes with a game or anything.

the 360 is to be replaced next year

what does look interesting is tomorrow morning 5am our time, nintendo are giving a press release about the new ds, nobody knows yet what will be in it, but apparantly there will be a mp3 player and a camera on it, so we should be seeing some price reductions on the ds soon then,Dave

like i say i can believe the xbox price being dropped, as it is a few yerars old now, and rumour has it microsoft are bringing out a new version at the end of next year, but as for the wii, i cant see it, it is only the second xmas since it was released, and if it is anything like the ds, it will be in short supply, we struggled to get a ds last xmas, 3 years after they was released, and people are definetly still after the wii, so does not make commercial sense for them to virtually halve the price, Dave.

This xmas will be the wii's 3rd xmas. Isn't it always the most sought after gift as xmas time?
